This man understands! You can't accurately gauge the noise level of an exhaust from a youtube video. I straight-piped my Mustang GT after hearing a couple videos on youtube and thought "meh, it sounds pretttty nice". and it was straight up UNBEARABLE. Videos can't capture the verberations inside the cabin, the drone, the ear bleeding noise level. For a whole week I was scared to even start the car because it sounded like a straight up bomb going off in my neighborhood. Great job with the vid, the G sounds delicious!

Angelo Marabello not any more difficult than I’d assume the RWD model would have been, the car was up north it’s whole life so wrestling some of the bolts out was a pain (especially the “demon” bolt) but I don’t think it’s any worse than changing them on RWD from what I’ve seen going through KZbin

Justice267 the build quality versus the Ark exhaust on this is night and day, FI build quality is amazing. The sound on the ark was a little more tamed IMO, this one sounds more aggressive to me (mainly because of the smaller resonators) so I like this setup more. I’m still running FI exhaust over a year later so i definitely like it a lot more than the Ark system.

Yes sir, you also have the option of resonated test pipes as well as adding an additional wide band O2 bung. I just went with the non-resonated ones with the standard O2 bung setup. From what I understand the additional O2 bung is not 100% necessary unless you're looking to get a fuel to air ratio reading from that on a dyno or on a custom gauge in the car.

Torvarris Brown not in traditional “plug and play” way but for this motor (VQ37VHR) the two tuning softwares commonly used are Ecutek and UPrev. I think uprev might sell pre set tunes that are close to being plug and play, I’m not 100% sure about that though

Dzenis Sabljakovic if the roads by you are bad I’d avoid the ARK, they sound amazing but I kept scraping them because they hang so damn low. But if you have good roads by you you can’t go wrong with either exhaust

Dzenis Sabljakovic motordyne makes some pretty solid exhausts. My tuner likes them as well. As far as getting the Ark not to scrape it’s kinda hard because there’s normally a bracket to hold up your exhaust in the middle of the car but the way the ark catback is shaped you can’t reinstall that bracket so it just hangs lower. If you don’t plan on lowering the car it should be too much of an issue. I just didn’t wanna deal with my exhaust hitting the ground constantly with NYC roads

Clive Swaby Jr well it's not a like a muffler delete right. I have kinetix hfc and a muffler delete and during low RPM from 2500 to 3000 RPM it's sound like shit. Makes my head rattle, but when I open the throttle up it sounds beast.

yo i just got a g37 and my boy got a 370z and when he lowered it he didint need camber plates cause factory camber was already good enough. I see some tilt, is that from factory or just after lowering with coils?

The car was on air, so this was the natural camber that happens as the car sits that low at my parked height. To get my rear camber back around -1.5 degrees for my ride height I needed rear upper and lower control arms, before that it was sitting at -3ish degrees and I didn't like how it drove.

Compa Cheo the bigger the resonator the less raspy the sound will be since the resonator basically “smooths” our the sound. So the 18” resonator would be the least raspy, the 12” (the one I have) would be raspier than the 18” and with the non-resonated you’re basically getting a more aggressive super raspy sound. I think there’s some other people running this exhaust non-resonated if you search around KZbin

Why did you switch from ark grip to fast intentions?

My car is lowered (air suspension) and the angle of the Ark exhaust is setup so it looks great from the back but because of that it hangs very low so it ended up scraping a lot of the time when I was driving, even if I aired all the way back up to my stock ride height. It sounded great don't get me wrong, but if you at all plan on your lowering your car, or the roads where you drive aren't particularly smooth I would avoid the Ark GRiP cat back

Ray Dip by themselves no, maybe the non resonated catback might do it but I’m not sure. Buuut, I just had some custom intakes built along with upgraded fuel injectors and a tune. On the performance map there are still no pops. But on the “flame map” the pops are STUPID loud. Like my friend was driving next to me and said he could feel the pop from the inside of his car. TLDR: no they don’t, but with a tune the pops are extremely loud

Ray Dip it’s not insane, it’s there but you get used to it after like a week (how healthy is that I don’t know lol) and you only smell it if your behind the car or if you’re at a stop and the wind is blowing towards the front of the car. Apparently according to one of my friends as far as test pipes goes with other cars he’s been around mine isn’t too bad. 🤷🏽‍♂️ For me the smell was awful in the beginning because I had that “new exhaust smell” that didn’t burn off yet, plus the test pipe smell and I was hungover (my birthday was fun) so it wasn’t to pleasant. But you’ve been running the catback already so you shouldn’t have that issue

It can, but I wouldn't recommend it. If the car is letting off bangs and pops aka backfire, there is detonation happening in the exhaust, if that detonation happens before the cats, that pressure has nowhere to go but back towards your engine. Which can result in a blown engine. So yeah, just wait till you remove your cats before having a tune with backfire

@@karumosr3219 the muffler delete isn’t harmful, and won’t make the car backfire. The car will backfire with a tune. I just wouldn’t tune the car to backfire if you still have your catalytic converters in because the pressure will have nowhere to go

Not sure about “isn’t correct” I’ve owned a 2013 G37 AWD as well as a 2008 6 spd sport, both of which were tuned. They both had that rev limit. It’s built into the cars for safety. 05 isn’t a G37, so they might not have had those safety restrictions built in the ECU at that time, couldn’t tell you for sure though

Gregory Blanc muffler delete just sounds louder and it’s raspy as hell, FI sounds way smoother. Pretty much the same with most exhaust systems VS a muffler delete. Muffler deletes just sound cheaper if that makes sense

Clive Swaby Jr nah man. I have a muffler delete and it sounds really Good and deep toned. If u remove the resonators it sounds bad

I've had the Ark catback which was around the same price, and not to knock them because I loved that exhaust, but the build quality on this was miles ahead of Ark, well worth it, I would have paid more than 1400 for it honestly.

Stock headers at this point, I got rid of the test pipes and have the long tube headers now
