I chose Kamagori because I like it, but honestly, Mech Guyva or Spaarc are probably better choices for a hypersonic run.

@@ryubaku It did, there just lazy to make one. F-Zero GX the last title on the GameCube was on the best-seller list and sold over a million on a small base. The problem I think they had was the cost it took to make because of the graphics at the time, which made the profit margins lower than your average Nintendo game. It's like the Days Gone situation with Sony, it sold well but the cost it took to make for Sony made it a failure in their eyes

@@rolan5948 Not at all, the budget they gave SEGA with that game was very small for what they did. GX was done very quickly and with low cost which is what impressed the heads over at Nintendo about that team. I don't think anything related to GX is the reason why it didn't go on but certainly Nintendo is more stubborn about F-Zero than any other old franchise ever since then

I love this underated gem so much. The music and stages are beautiful, the cars are cool af. Sunahara Plains has my favorite song, Cameron Raceway (Seperate from Cameron Crest) is the prettiest. (Kuiper Belt is a close 2nd)

It's pretty funny that gaining speed sometimes involves going sideways. Everybody wanted something like the 3D F-Zero games, but we got something that handles much more like the 2D ones.

This is the nicest looking futuristic racer I've seen yet (I bought Wipeout 2097 over 24 years ago) - This is what Wipeout should aspire to, and the Ikaruga style polarity idea is genius because it adds a new dimension to the gameplay.

OMG! Even the FINAL CUTSCENE IS LIKE A SECRET SHOUTOUT TO F-ZERO X, WITH THE FIRST PLACE PLATFORM RISING UP! I LOVE THIS GAME. Now....if they would make an ACTUAL F zero reboot, where you can actually spin your vehicle and ram into and kill your opponents.....

I swear this game reminds me so much of Swoop Racing in the KotOR games. Lethal speeds and lethal obstacles/drops. It's amazing how fast you can actually get in this and how quickly you can leave everyone in the dust right at the beginning

You just get reward for boosting in RMX. Remember that you get boost gain bonus when you pick up Boost Orb on air.

yes it was. unlike fast racing neo, Fast rmx puts you ahead to the next checkpoint instead of back to the last one when you die. Zvil raceway is the only place i know about where this is helpful, cause if you die on those platforms you are sent ahead to the other side. On hypersonic it is only worth it on the first lap, though.

Impressive skills. I can't find any tips/guides for playing fast RMX. I can see from this video this a nice little hack for starting. I'm also wondering about the wiggle in the steering, are you using just buttons for steering? Or you steer with leaning?

I think he's just tapping the lean button. That's what I do and it works great for avoiding the walls!

Dude the thing where you spam ZL and ZR is wierding me out, man.

It increases your acceleration and maintains your top speed through corners. You can actually start a race off turning sideways and spamming the ZL or ZR buttons to shift in that direction and reach top speed much faster than you would without. It's especially useful if you're using a low acceleration ship like Zvil or Willard.

Btw, just noticed that however far behind CPU's are they will always get your time plus 2 sek per position, that's unfair ;)

Willard is the best ship for subsonic and super sonic. But on hypersonic boost power is most important. Kamagori has good boost and acceleration, that's why i like it, but Mech guyva is probably the best ship for hypersonic.
