i instantly thought: this is the one im going to build. OMG bro has easily accessible filter chests thats a huge W. Its also quite compact, not compact but i expected more size. Fast and very versatile

First of all, this is insane! How does a person, let alone designing this, thinks of this to begin with, is beyond my comprehension! So the biggest kudos to you Luxar! Also thank you so much for sharing the world. I had a chance to try it out. I know you're eager for bug reports. I'm not sure if these are bugs / oversight / limitations but here are my humble notes on V5 and V4 In version 5 I noticed that the following items are sorted in the "uncategorized" chest at the first row; Mycelium, Dirth Path, Farmland, Egg, Raw Mutton, Cooked Mutton, Cooked Rabbit, Pumpkin Pie, Mushroom Stew, Cake, Milk Bucket, Ender Pearl, Firework Rocket (Duration 3), Waxed Oxidized Cut Copper Slab, Oak Pressure plate, Copper Trapdoor, Mossy Stone Brick Wall, Cherry Log, Cherry Planks, Block of Bamboo In Version 4 Same list above but with the addition of Jungle Log, Mangrove Log, Cherry Planks, being sorted in the "uncategorized" as well. I know you may have not fully configured and left it to the users as they fit. But I wanted to report anyways. My question is; is this system expandable? Would I be able to expand the sorted chests by copy pasting any of the mid rows just before the far right end, or would that mess up the whole system? I suspect the latter... BTW what are the command and structure blocks for? The ones with "/kill @e[type=minecraft:item]", "minecraft:bulk_hall_chest_reset" and "minecraft:chesthallreset"? Thank you so much in advance.

the whitelisters aren't fully set up on purpose so that theres always some overflow during testing and because i was too lazy :P im kicking myself for not mentioning this in the video right now, but yes the storage is expandable to basically however far you want. just one problem you might have to add more hopperminecarts to the chest at the MIS input. its where all the carts for cartsetup are stored and if the storage gets longer it will take more time for them to return there and the buffer has to be expanded. so if you add alot of slices i would test this first in creative by inputting alot of unstackable items to see if it runs out (it should stabilise the in and out of carts to the chest if successful) the commandblock makes cleanup of items easier and the structure blocks are to empty the chests for testing so i dont have to do it by hand every time (just activate them with a button or so)

Very brilliant design Luxar the more I test it the more I love it. But with such a complex machine I doubt that I'd be capable enough to figure out how to expand it myself... yo man, sick system. I'd love to make a simpler one of my own, and the minecart tech you used in order to sort the minecarts into their respective slices with the soul sand and sticky pistons is what I'm really interested in using for mine. I'm a total noob when it comes to redstone, and I can't for the life of me replicate it so that it works consistently. Either the minecart goes on the rail next to the rail it's supposed to go on, or it just gets stuck in the water. I'd love some tips, like is it directional/locational or does one slice need additional slices next to it in order to work properly?

man do i have the KZbin channel for you go look for inspector talons channel, it should be in the sources as i did not invent the part you are referring to. hes the guy who knows most about carts and you can learn it all there as its pretty tricky

first of all very beautiful design, i've got a question tho at minute 10 you said the splitters need empty shulkerboxes. Does this work with the tweakeroo tweak where empty shulkerboxes can stack? Do I need to fill this up completely with stacks of empty shulkerboxes?

funny you ask i did actually have somebody build this and try it with that gamerule and we came to the conclusion that it breaks completely when stackable boxes are enabled im afraid

Nice sortingsystem. Does this system causes many lags on servers? How many resources does a server need to run systems like this. Do you need command blocks for that?

i have not done any lag testing for this system. generally a system like this should not be built in the spawn chunks and only be loaded when in use. and no, you do not need any command blocks to build this; it is survival friendly. p.s this system only works on vanilla or fabric servers. do not attempt to build this on a paper server

I tried building the experimental version on survival but I am having trouble with the minecart hoppers that has item filters for the keygen, the minecart hoppers wont leave 2 empty slots when they are on top of each other because the bottom one will pick up the filters. Is there a way to make this work?

oh this is one of those annoying to set up things when building that thing. you gotta set the minecarts up by hand and roll them over the powered activator rail when first building this so they dont pull items from eachother. after that they should get locked and unloaded automatically by the keygen tl;dr you can permanently lock a hopper minecart when rolling it over a powered activator rail and unlock it again by rolling it over an unpowered one

i never tested that; you had to try. do note tho that this will only work on vanilla or fabric servers

@@luxar1000 After building it and it not working at the beginning (forgot to fill everything) It works on Server at least with slight lags, I didn't test it with extreme lags.

@@luxar1000 I do have a problem with the splitters after some testing. In your world I looked at them and they had filler items inside the upper hoppers. I placed them inside my build too but they get picked up by the hopper minecarts and tamper with the split process. Do you have any idea on what I should do to fix that?

@thedog2962 the minecart should get 4 16 stackable items into its last 4 slots with the first one remaining empty they all have to be uniquely renamed. when the minecart gets send off to be broken all of them should return to their respective hoppers. i need to know exactly what part of that doesn't work

I am only unsure about the placement of the hopper minecarts in the splitters. Other than that this machine is amazing! Great work!

i might make a video about how to place the carts and other annoying things. but in general the bottom carts are aligned so that they sit on all 4 hoppers with their hitbox under the top cart. the top cart is just aligned against a fence and then the fence is replaced by a block

should work fine but you might have a problem with the box-recombination due to update order issues if you paste it in works fine again after the first activation

After much testing I created a *.*construction schematic using latest Amulet and imported into my world, following the directional "from east to west" rule... but it's not working in my world =( The splitters are constantly ticking at the back. What might be the problem? Should I use different software or extension?

@@luxar1000 Amulet is one of the successors of McEdit... but I listened to you and installed Litematica, saved schematic, pasted into my world, it glitched on me at first, but after completely clearing the area and pasting a second time, it now works like a charm (Eventhough I haven't done any manual touching like minecart placement etc). I can't thank enough for this design.
