About a year ago, I first came across your Mar 5, 2009 recording of the Swanee River Boogie Woogie. I was thunderstruck by your raw talent and enthusiasm. This recording-a fusion of ragtime and jazz-is absolutely amazing! Technical expertise is one thing. But to play a piece of this nature with such sensitivity and dynamic range testifies to extraordinary musicianship. I agree with another's one-word summation: genius! It is a blessing to listen to you!

Wow. That's pretty sensational blending of some styles. High level of musicality all over the place. One aspect reminds me of one of Oscar Peterson's playing where with very fast passages with a lot of notes he still keeps everything in time. Many, when they try to insert a fast string of notes, don't quite get done with them in time and enter whatever comes next slightly late.
