I had no idea this show existed. A Vincent Sciavelli rabbit hole brought me here. I saw Fast Times as a high school junior when it came out. I've since met Sean Penn and worked with Judge Reinhold in the 90s (He was a bit of a jerk who resented Fast Times because of a certain scene). You see, I was watching a thing about Hitler's doctor and how the Third Reich was fueled by German-invented, decaf Sanka and meth. The Sanka wiki brought me to Mr Vargas' memorable quote, "Look, I'm a little slow today. I just switched to Sanka, so have a heart" , to this thing. Huh. I had no idea. Mr Vargas should have had his own TV show! Check out "Forbidden Zone" if you want some Oingo Boingo whackiness.

"Spicoli" is wearing a (Yngwie Malmsteen's) Rising Force shirt. I bought that shirt in 1985 and I saw that band open for ACDC on their Fly on the Wall tour. I was 14 years old in 1985.

Not really. We knew Sean Penn and Phoebe Cates wouldn't be in a watered-down TV version of the movie. Since it's on TV we knew there would be no nudity and swearing as well. I was hoping for something like Square Pegs. But it was good to see Ray Walston reprising the role of Mr. Hand again.

For starters I completely disagree with Doug Masters but I know and agree that he's fully within his rights to peacefully voice his opinion and -as fucking stupid as it is 😉- he is in my books more than welcome to do it. However, as for myself and millions of others (I personally spoke to each and every one of them) _Fast Times at Ridgemont High_ is a classic 80's teen, partially, stoner movie that despite not being to everyone's taste was written by _a 22 year old Wes Craven_ whose accolades from the critics were virtually unanimous in their conviction and let's not forget the movie *starred 8 nobody actors* whose future careers ranged from famous to _very famous._ I lost my train of thought ⅓ of the way through my comment and then forgot what my point was 😆, so let's make it a game where it's up to everyone to figure out which part of my comment is true and which part I pulled out of my ass. I'll give one hint. The part about me talking to a million people to get their opinions isn't included in the game because it's so obviously true 😘.

I watched this when it aired in 86 and I seem to remember some of the characters smacking each other's foreheads and saying "Spa!" Or was i even drunker than I remember back then? I really dont want to try and sit through the other 2 episodes on here to find out.
