Hi, New to the channel. This was a masterclass for everyone who is interested in learning about retirement finances. I attended AL Williams (long, long time ago, you're probably to young, Primerica now) became a financial advisor and I have to tell you, you did a great job explaining it. Thanks so much. I'm enjoying your videos. To anyone watching this video I can say after being in the market for over 30 yrs. Lynelle is spot on. Lots of down years but many 35+ years to. I'll be watching. Safe travels Lynelle.

@@PovertyToParadise Hi Lynnelle, Last year at this same time of year we were on RC Liberty leaving out of Bayonne, NJ. Well a storm was on the way, forget the name, so this heroic captain pulled out of the Bayonne port and parked the ship in I guess you can call it a cove off they NYC harbor. We lost a day in Bermuda but nobody cared. The captain kept us safe! I'll be sending up prayers for you, watch your step if the ship gets rocky and safe travels. Gee

Hello Lynnelle, Thanks for the link about packing. As a crafter, I don't see me reducing stuff down like you. I am impressed by your accomplishments. I wanted to travel a couple time a year on your wonderful budget of 2k. So I will be following you and occassionally picking your brain. First of all let me say I am also impressed how you travel so many places by yourself. As a black female, I sometime feel frighten to step out to far by myself. I am looking to learn from my younger sister. YOU! Thank you in advance.

Great advice....I'm already there and loving it...I just never took a cruise before and wanted some encouragement to just do it. I'm about 25, maybe 30 years older than you, but I have always been a planner of my future. I scheduled a back to back for October-November and IF I like it, I will choose ships for my mode of traveling. I'm staying in America, will continue to play dodge ball with the BS politics, and enjoy life. I make my own paradise. Saying all of that, you are an inspiration for young women of color who simply don't have a clue, and as I see it, SOME don't have a desire for independence and real happiness. Continue living lovely and making your dreams come true.

I love this. I try to explain this stuff to my husband (I have an acct degree too, but currently chasing my dream to be an author), and his eyes glaze over and ends up saying "ok, well, whatever you say." LOL He wants to retire in 6 years (he'll be 50). We thought about doing the life on a cruise ship since we love to cruise. But then, about two years ago, I came up with a crazy idea that we've fallen in love with. We're both boat nuts (he even went to school to be a boat mechanic), so I suggested that we buy a boat when he retires and we'll just live on that. So, that's our paradise. :D Thank you for your content. Even for experienced savers, there is really good information here. I had no idea about the earth awaits site!

How did you start planning your cruises? Did you use a travel agent, so your cruises were back to back with little time between them?
@PovertyToParadise3 ай бұрын
Hi. Thanks for watching. No, I don't use an agent. I have a link in this video's description that answers your questions: How I Started Cruising Full-Time for free. 🤗🚢
@lindajackson92473 ай бұрын
@@PovertyToParadise How did you book all those cruises in a roll consecutively, for example month to month, my question was not about how you got the free cruises, bit how you went on the cruise line website to make sure your cruises were back-to-back
@PovertyToParadise3 ай бұрын
Hmmm. This should probably be a whole video, but I have some time so let me try to explain it this way: Example 1 For Royal Caribbean, I had booked my 1st free cruise for April 15 - 22 on Allure of the Seas. Then I got a flyer in the mail offering another free cruise and it had a list of ships and dates. I noticed that Allure of the Seas was on there with several dates, including April 22nd. I saw that was when my last cruise ended, so I knew if I booked April 22nd, it would be consecutive cruises on the same ship. For RC, I don't book casino deals online. I call the Casino line phone number that is on the flyers 1-888-561-2234 . So I called and booked the 2nd cruise making it B2B cruises. Example 2 I mostly booked Carnival cruises online myself but sometimes I email or call my PVP. I go to Carnival's website >> Plan >> Cruise Deals. I can see all the deals they offer me. After I click on one, it lets me know which ships and dates I can use for that offer. If I click on each deal, then click on "Terms & Conditions", I can see that the offers may only be used once, but most times, you can book the same deal multiple times; I have seen up to 8 times! I don't recall, but let's say the deal for this cruise said I can book it up to 3 times. I can see that Carnival Liberty is on that deal for Sep 8, 15 & 22. So I book each cruise 1 by 1, looking to see if the same cabin # is available (usually they were not available but that's OK for me). *Note, I also have a Carnival PVP - Personal Vacation Planner (free travel agent who works for Carnival) and I can also email him and say, hey, Can you get me in the same cabin for 3 cruises on deal XYZ? and he'll email me back and say yes or no. *There are lots of PVPs. I use Chrystian Nodarse ext 83402 (tell him Lynnelle sent you.😊 I don't get credit but he loves knowing he got a referral). Carnival main # 800-819-3902 Does that answer your questions?

Hopefully, this video gave you a place to start looking at your finances? You'll have to decide where you want to live (stay put or move to a lower cost of living) and that Interest calculator should give you an idea of how much $$$ you'll have at 55. I don't give advice and I'm new to KZbin and traveling on the ocean most of the time, so I'm not in a position for my "brain to be picked", lol, but I'll be glad to answer any questions posted in the comments section.
