You can get a 2018 GT Roush supercharged from the dealer for only the price of the car you buy. It'll give it over 700hp. Combine that with the 10spd and nothing will touch it.

They are both really cool but the new face on the mustang looks to much like a catfish. I couldnt do it. The previouse design was alot more tough looking. The challenger has always looked the same because like you said, it looks like a fist in your face. It is always recognizeable.

For the first time in I think ...ever? I agree with Roman. While the looks of the current Mustang are growing on me and it's a fantastic car and a great deal and I'd love to have one, really starting to look too much like a GTR from the front for me. I don't care if the Mustang will out handle the Hellcat, I don't care if it will out stop the Hellcat. Man I don't even care if it's twice the price. I just love the sound of that Hellcat. NOTHING beats that in my books. You don't drive twisties every day. You don't drag race it every day...but you do heart it every single time you start it and every time you tip the throttle. The sound of a Hellcat is pure sex!!

I got a 16 GT Automatic...I love the sound of the V8...Absolutely amazing....Both cars are great...I paid $27k for my car used....has only 25K on it right now..Excellent for a 2016...I would not invest that much more money just for the extra Speed and a few features...too much money...Winner in my book is the Mustang V8..American Muscle

This is by far the best matchup videos I've seen so far. One factor that NOBODY has ever posted in any video like this, is the Insurance viewpoint... Yes the Hellcat being the Top option will by far out perform the mustang, but between car payments and insurance payments, it is much more than the Mustang.... That doesn't stop me from wanting one though lol. Now going to the lower option Challengers and Mustangs, yes starting with the v6 options of each, these seem very comparable in the option/horsepower/price with very small differences across the board, so the determining factors then are strictly style/space/and aftermarket (come on, that is the ONLY REASON to get a low option car is to add your own flair with aftermarket) (Hint hint, I would love to see the two of you have a fleet of Mustangs and Challengers with similar options and review in order). For those who want a strictly dealership stock car, the MOPAR just beats the FoMoCo all day long. If you are single or just want limited people riding with you, sure go with the Mustang. If you want to have 3 or 4 buddys with you and be able to show off and laugh as they bang their heads into the seat when you punch it, Challenger gives you that power. No I have not driven a Hellcat, however I have driven the v6 mustang, v6 Challenger (both of which I like), the Challenger R/T with the smaller HEMI (love it), I have yet to drive a 5.0 Mustang, so really cant say much there yet... Go Big or go home.

Having driven both, the Hellcat just feels better. Its massively fast and in eco made gets pretty good mpg. My favorite thing about it is how comfortable it is. Its like having 2 different car depending on the drive mode and your foot.

I think it all comes down to your character. What car talks to you and that’s your car. I just love American muscle, all of them. I love the challenger better because it looks more nostalgic. And when you can afford 40-60-80k enjoy what you get. There is no logic in having horsepower!

The Hellcat is way more car than just about anyone would ever need. Hell, even the Mustang GT is too much car for most drivers to handle. I don't really think spending the extra $30k on the Hellcat makes much sense when you can't really even use it to its full potential in a safe manner unless you're on a drag strip. Plus, the Mustang sounds better.

Both cars are awesome. For the price a GT is hard to beat. I just traded in a Mustang GT350R (much closer in price) for a Hellcat Widebody due to the absolute impracticality (which I knew when I bought it) Couldn't go anywhere without scraping the splitter and the seats, while comfortable when you got into them where difficult to get in and out of. I have to admit the sound and 526 horsepower were amazing and addictive, it had become a garage queen and I hated that. So, b/c the CHWB is faster, still sounds awesome and as far as room and ride more practical, I decided to get one. Now, if the damn thing would just get here, still in the build process. :)

You invest the difference in cost between the two into upgrades for the Mustang. Like a big Whipple supercharger and the Mustang would be untouchable by any hellcat. You can make a whole lot of power for $30k . The Coyote is a beast that loves boost. 800-1000hp is very do-able.

You could also buy a used GT for a lot less and still build it to whoop up on a hellcat. For less money. There are a whole lot more used Mustang GT's out there then there are used hellcats. You know since they built and sold a whole lot more Mustangs. Plus the Mustang will always have larger aftermarket support, handle better and look better. The original Challengers looked cool but to me the new ones looked like some one stuffed a air hose up their exhaust pipe and they blew up. If they actually wanted a fair comparison they should have waited another year until the new GT500 comes out.

they really can't. The weight unfortunately comes from the chassis itself, it's just outdated. I'm really hoping the rumors are true, and they will use the Guilia chassis for the next generation and get the weight around what the QF runs. Even keeping the iron block, it would run about 3500 lbs..... it would be an animal..... well more of an animal.

Carl Meaux as it is all it does is spin tires, if they do that they will get absolutely no grip in the rear tires and you’ll be spinning all down the strip... or even just feathering the gas for that matter. But it would be nice for it to be lighter, you have a lot less body roll. And they could reduce the instant torque and fix the problem of having so much wheel spin.

I don't see why so many people don't like the look of the Mustang? People also seem to skip over the fact that you can add a Supercharger to the stang and get similar amounts of horsepower with a good amount of money still left over. I just don't think the Hellcat is worth THAT MUCH MONEY! That's wayyy too much for that car. Under 70,000 should be where that car is priced at. I HONESTLY prefer the Mustang over the Challenger. The Challenger would be my second option if the Camaro was added in here.

The hellcat is more than a slapped on supercharger it is a complete, reliable package. It is full integrated. I learned the hard way. I turbo my mustang GT and started finding the weak spots. Broke transmission. Broken axel. I got 100000 mile warranty with my hellcat

I went to a Ford dealership to look at a gently used 2016 SRT and drove it and loved it. The only problem I had with it was that it was silver and I'm really not a fan of silver at all. I then noticed a used mustang in this gorgeous blue color and light beige and brown interior. It was the 50th anniversary and number 1776 of 1964 vehicles produced. They were both approximately the same price but the same amount of miles and the mustang was fun to drive but being 6ft to there was no way anyone even my children could sit behind me in that car. Absolutely gorgeous love the car but not practical like the Challenger is in my opinion.

You can slap a Roush Supercharger in the Mustang and have a light better handling 700HP, MagneRide suspension, 10 speed auto muscle car. This will still have a 3 year warranty and still come in at $20,000 less than the Hellcat. Love the Hellcat but I got to go with the Mustang for sure!

The $ per hp goes way up after 350 hp. Power adders and machine work costs so much more (unless you buy nitrous). The straight $ for hp isn't a realistic comparison. The cost of hp is fuel efficiency, so if you want good gas millage, go for low hp numbers. Compare the 450 hp in the viper I think is 8mpg, compare it to the challenger at 16 and it's a miracle. 707up and 16mpg is amazing. Check any other car in that hp range and the challenger looks like a prius. Just my 2 cents.

The Fast Lane Car he has a point though. How does video even make any sort of sense? You're comparing a base gt model with a higher end challenger. Not even a roush which is 1 step up from the gt. Guarentee if you compare this gt in your video to a base rt, the mustang is far superior in every way for your money. For 70k I'll go grab the gt350 while the hellcat will still stomp it. At least it's a better comparison

Well, if I've got THAT much money to spend on a car, I'd rather have a Porsche or a maybe that Alfa-Romeo Giulia. But if American is the only way, I'd exercise patience and get the Mustang GT500 convertible. (Make mine blue and a manual, please!) 🐇
