I have had the two I bought since WAY back around 2009 or so, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the things. With my 1250w microwave, it only takes right at EIGHT mins. for what I regard as perfect cooking results. I do NOT like the firmness of 'Al Dente'. I am SO glad you figured out that the handles are on the LONG sides. And people, like I heard it mentioned, the lid is NOT meant to be tight fitting, so please be extremely careful when removing from the 'oven'. I think it best to ALWAYS remove with the SLOTS facing away from you, as that is much easier for pouring out the water into the sink. I do not think any device like this one is well-suited for wheelchair bound folks, as you can easily spill the hot water on your legs or lap. So, please be careful. Girls, I really LOVE your channel. I am so happy I found you two fun loving gals and hope you are around for many, many years to come. THANK YOU for what you bring into the life of this "Old-fart". I know my late wife would of liked watching you two do your thing. Take care of your selves and be good.

Can you cook shells or other such pasta? Or is this strictly spaghetti?

The very first thing I cooked in my fasta pasta was the velveeta shells and I was very happy with it. No more using the stove for pasta cooking very pleased with it

did you ladies check up on the issue of bugs being used as dye for redvelvet cakes and gummi s i hope you dont think im some kind of kook...ive read it a couple of times but i cant remember where?....and remember the hint water? there is a new sparkling water called CLEAR and SPARKLING..it comes in several flavors and at my shoprite its been like 2 for adollar..and its the 1 liter size...i really love it....its not overly bubbly
@2centchick6 жыл бұрын
I did! I don’t think you are a kook. LOL I found several articles about it, very interesting. I’ll have to look for that water. Thanks! ~ Cathy

I haven't boiled pasta on the stove in yrs since having my pasta boat.
@scavengerspc2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes if you don't get the water and the time down properly, the pasta may stick together. It happens. To ditch that problem, add a little oil to the water, then add the uncooked pasta.

I have that and liked it so much I got the boat one but I did not like that one as much. I'm a gadget junkie. Can u tell :) I bought mine at a yard sale I think with no instructions. I've been cooking with it lid on all this time lol

Thanks for the great review, girls! Frankly, this is no "fasta" than cooking directly on the stove or using a similarly sized microwavable plastic container. I particularly enjoyed the end with Rachel's hamming it up for the camera. And I won't say a word about why you two cracked up at the very end. But I think we all know. Looking forward to your next video.

I tried this in my truck. I'm a professional truck driver and I miss my pasta. Unfortunately I missed the part where you leave the lid off until after, so it overboiled. Seems to be working great though!

Very stupid idea. Time consuming is the same. Pasta is not just boiling water and spaghetti. Butter garlic and other stuff... your video makes me definitely not to buy this stupid idea box
@blueclothes16 жыл бұрын
Ladies... I think microwaving pasta is ok. You’re really nuking the water not the pasta itself. I will also give this a thumbs up 😃
