My all time favourite tune. Is it rock? Gospel? Jam? Folksy? Classic? Alternative? All rolled into one? Take your pick. To me it's the best of all time.

I love this comment! This was a short song that defied categorization and sounded so great on the radio.

Scalzo looked older than I expected at first, but then I remembered that he was nearly 34 when Fastball hit it big. So for a man of 56 -- actually 54 when this was shot -- he doesn't look bad at all.
@xavierstrong54373 жыл бұрын
Wow, 54, really? I didn't realize he was as old as he was when this song came out. He looked like he was in his early-to-mid 20s back then, so yeah, I thought he looked a little old for his age as well, but I was thinking he was in his early 40s. But you're right -- for 54 he looks good.

34 is quite old to hit it big in rock and roll for the first time....but I guess that just meant that he appreciated it more since he paid his dues. I listened to this album nonstop when it came out. I was 17 when it did...and I'm 40 now. Father Times comes for us all.

Man, Thanks for your music. You brought another beautiful day into someoneelse's life Respect to these musicians. It's a gift to see their transformation into their old age. Them singing their songs from their younger days, even if it's not in the same way as it was, is a rewarding experience. That means, me too is still here, alive and kicking . 🎉🎉 Thank you God 🙏🏻

A little slice of perfection. Probably my favorite under-3-minute song (OK, maybe "Good Times, Bad Times," edges it out slightly ... in which case OOMH is my favorite song under 2 minutes, 55 seconds, LOL!) Sure, Scalzo's voice here is a bit ragged, but the mix also sucks. They usually sound a lot better than this.

Bender Vision An opinion, a wise man once said, is like an a**hole. Everyone has it, but most people aren't interested in it. However, I do concede the argument of Billy Joel. The thing is...some voices age better, some worse. I just do not see a point in coming all over KZbin and just hating everything. That just plain sucks.
