I'd recommend always having at least 1 monster who can heal, maybe 2 in the beginning (1 healer, 1 support later on) with 2 dps mons. Support skills are very useful in this game like usual. Don't be afraid to try out L size mons. They take up two slots but some of them have GREAT traits that make them very useful. Also, don't be afraid to fuse a ton in the beginning. Early on it's easy to get those levels back, and I'd say mid game you want to start getting those higher levels and always keep a few strong mons around. I had two rank F monsters pretty much till the last area. :p

Oh, and if you want something specific, breed a regular Slime with an Antbear/Anteater (that blue fuzzy beast thing from first area) to get a Feral Slime. That thing was pretty OP for early game as soon as you could synth.

Fastest egg farming: - kill 1 enemy - find some eggs - switch maps - kill 1 enemy - find some eggs - switch map - repeat

Correct, though focusing on one map if you want the increased rates for the particular monster there is a good adjustment depending on what you need. I have so many Kystallinda from hunting Upper Caprice in Winter. XD

Hmm, you can reset Joe's Dungeons three times a day now, there is an extra chest near the staircase near the Altar of Amalgamation that has some bumper bonus balls, War Cry was nerfed, new items in the online store, minor increases in scouting probability and probability of finding rare monsters/talents from eggs.

When you're character is lifting his hand what are you doing?

He changes the seasons. I don't have it myself, but you unlock it in lategame, to switch seasons with a button press instead of a regular used item.
