At this time of year, our floral sources are drying up. The reason our bees are stronger is that they are hybridized with African scutellata to make them better in our hot tropical environment. But you don't want to go down that road. These are the bees that are commonly maligned as Killer Bees. We have to work with them and adapt to them because they are here, and out compete all other mellifera varieties. They are just a fact of life.
