When i level i make the highest level item i can afford that gets me to a higher tier. I use first craft bonus usually. whenever possible i minimize cost. Im not buying if i can just go farm. I almost never just go farm. I have my goal and i set out skinning, gathering, mining, and logging until im full. Aeternum is a large place its better for my sanity and more fun for me to target a spot with a few items i want to get and hang out there for a while.

New player question, when do recommend to start armor and weaponsmithing?

Should use global and faction chat for these types of questions but I would recommend immediately if you have prior experience with MMORPG crafting. As new world can get pretty intense for new players. Also I would recommend just continue to gather everything until your main towns storage is full and then go crazy learning all of the crafting stations. People learn best through trial and error and I find that doing it themselves will be more helpful than 99.99% of youtube guides

I didn't even give a shyt about weaponsmithing or armorsmithing for an entire year. Is too easy to get decent gear no need for me to level that very expensive trades

Then find the "fastest" and do that the cheapest way possible. Pin the recipe and then use an interactive map to find all the resources and farm everything yourself

I put one in for leveling Furnishing and it was off by so much. I started at lvl 50 and told it to take me to 200. Imported the server data and got the stuff together that it said. My level went from 50 to 72. I knew before hitting the craft button, that it wasn't enough to work so I wonder if there is something wrong with the calculation instructions/code causing the error.

I’ll double check it for furnishing. I hadn’t tried it for that yet, but furnishing in general is a nightmare…

If you keep the one number on 5 (cheapest) it won’t show you from 50 to 200. Because it’s everything but cheap. You have to scale it up in order to get to 200. But btw, it literally says on the side if it’s from 50 to 72 or to 200. You just have to double check (I made the same mistake first time)

But wait, doesnt the first time craft bonus apply to every craft if you do them all at once? Like if you got say double xp for the first craft of those boots and you did 800 of them wouldnt all 800 get the bonus xp?

Weapon smithing with this guide is the same as the armoring.
