I'm in the stages of planning to get our first sailing boat whether it'll be a single or double hull, time will tell. Thinking with 2 young boys, the more space the better.

Hey mate. Well both have their advantages. Personally I would pick a cat nowadays but not just any old cat. If she sails to wind - and is fast and comfortable - you can’t beat it. Space and live ability is unquestioned. Only for a heavy storm or short chop to windward would I swap for a mono. We still love latitude however. !
