They should've released it as a new brand kinda like Toyota n Lexus. Lotus cars are supposed to be all about lightness n being an out n out driver's car. There's no way an Elise/Exige/Evora owner would progress to something as heavy (2.5+ tons) as this. They should've dropped the Evora here as a Cayman rival instead of the Eletre which happens to be at the same price range of the top of the line offerings from Merc, BMW, Jag n Audi. Its gonna be a hard sell. It'll likely end up being dumped it in the used market quickly like the first car that got delivered to Delhi. Not comforting to the consumer especially when the tag _Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious_ is coherent with the brand. Also, if I were shopping for an EV at that price range, I'd have the Taycan Sport Turismo Turbo S. Similar performance specs, similar weight, similar load capacity but with typical Porsche reliability, driving feel n fantastic shooting brake styling.
