Fastest Gold Farm - Dragon's Dogma 2

In Dragon's Dogma 2 Gold is king, at least before you get to the unmoored world that is, then wyrmlife crystals become king but, that's a guide for another time. Some of the best armor and weapons you can get in DD2 can simply be purhcased from vendors and so having an infinite gold farm is somehting that almost breaks the game. Think about it, you can buy as many ferrystones as you wish, as many allheal elixers, as many of, well anything that is sold from a vendor.

@@1C3TV I remember seeing quite a few near the ancient battleground ruins and on that path in Battahl that leads to Medusa's lair and Dragonsbreath tower, but I'm sure there are better places.

​@1C3TV one of the paths you can take to get to sand land without using the checkpoint boarder has a campsite near where a chimera spawns in a cave. It's on a cliff next to some broken buildings. The path that leads off the road and to the cave the chimera spawns in usually has crows they're just sometimes a bit hard to see because of the grass but magic archer has the auto aim so that shouldn't be an issue. I recommend telling your pawns to wait before walking up because sometimes they run ahead of you and make the crows fly away. For reference: the specific path I'm talking about in vern. that leads to sand land is the one with the Drake in front of a tall grass area filled with knackers that leads into a cave area with a split path in it. Follow it until you hit a wooden bridge with a campsite by it. That's the one you're looking for. Usually it has bandits or goblins in the area. Clear them out and rest. If you turn around and look at the path that leads through the broken buildings that should be where the chimera is and if you aim with magic archer you'll see the crows along the way

Another good way to find these quests is searching the rift for "unique pawns" and then "top monthly pawns" as it is a list of all the highest rated pawns. Many many of them have these quests and you can summon them from the menu.

When you start a new, not new game plus. The pawn you had continues to exist. Up to two or three of your former pawns can continue to exist, from starting a new game. So people start a new game, make a pawn, put up a quest, and then do it again one or two more times. The quest can never be taken down since they can't give you a report. Since you are no longer the master of those pawns. People also make multiple accounts to do this.

So I think whatever change they made that makes it harder to find these quests mainly affects low level pawns. Filtering with higher level pawns should still work.

Yeah i cant find but 1 or 2 pawns in the rift at lvl 1-5 and neither of them have onyx. Tried multiple different ways even with higher levels and most dont have a quest at all and if they do givr you an item, its a random, useless item

I have 2 alternate profiles, so I just set a pawn quest on my alternate, then I hire them and get my precious gems. After I release them I save, then go to my alternate, load at last inn rest, and rinse and repeat. I have tons of gold, all heal elixir, ferry stones, etc.

@@1C3TV He is most likely on PC. I do a similar thing, where I send to my alt account's characters dragon forged weapons and armours, then send them back to my main's account on a backed up save, where I didn't spend the materials and money to upgrade said weapons and armours.

Some Chad was taking 1 explosive arrows for 99 explosives arrows, I was able to restock without leaving the rift. Got 2 darkening bows worth 10k each and someone else was just giving out 10k gold for an arrow. Made 125,000 in less than 10 minutes worth of work and I wasn't even finding a whole bunch onyx quests only got about 50ish to sell. Another note if you run into a pawn you've already done the quest for when you talk to them it will say completed under what item they are requesting, like this "completed: 1x exploding arrow" etc so you can skip them.

@Turts_McGurts I'm on xbox too. It's easier to sort through the monthly top pawns by quests, it's way quicker than summoning random pawns I wasn't having much luck with that.

Well, giving gifts to pawns is not mandatory... but when I do, I only gift something decent to pawns that are extremely creative and unique, like a Hulk Hogan warrior or a juicy good looking gilf sorceress. The endless playboy bunnies, either elves or human looking don't impress me. Sadly I rarely see a beastren pawn, male or female, that looks amazing or unique, and the freaking armours and helmets don't help anyone in order to admire what other players came up with.

I agree with you regarding there not being that many unique looking beastren. And like you say.. Then you put a helmet on it and it doesn't really matter anyway, LOL. Personally I started creating a Pawn army of Dwarven warriors. God I've had a blast with that!

Doing this on PC 5 days after video and can say it is either everyone and their mom is doing it or it works less than in the video. I Still got 61 onyx and 10k gold a few times. Can say I also went through lvl 1-30 in increments of 5 and this helped me a bit. Also I made sure to also check none quest guides pawns too and got lucky for more onyx.

Yep i do this but my pawn isnt level 1. I set my quest as 1 arrow for 12 onyx. I saw a video weeks ago that mentioned this farm so this is not a new farm in any way! Alot of people also do a quest with rings, armour, weapons etc etc as rewards. Its all about helping others out and i honestly think the devs know this too, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to keep the pawn quests in the game. I hope they keep it in as games like lord's of the fallen were patched so much it became slightly annoying. Games are meant to be fun after all

I just use the montly pawn section yeah you have to go one at a time but theres a lot more on there plus if they to high a lvl you can usually add people they are pretty cool about it

When you talk to the vendor look in the lower right of your screen to see what button to press to give gifts

You do not have to give any pawn a gift when dismissing. Especially since a lot of low level pawns are Capcom Bots. The second time I did this trick, it seems that I ended up rehiring some pawns and couldn't get the reward. But some rehired pawns still gave me rewards. Maybe there's a refresh timers for the boys, or some where actually from people and they didn't get to manually reset the rewards. To better keep track of pawns I've hired, I started using the gender and type selector and mixed it with the vocation and disposition. So selecting Human Male Fighter who is straightforward. Go through that group. Then switch to Calm, and then switch to another. Do al four. Then Human Female Fighter who is straightforward. Cycle through all four. Then Beastren Male Fighter Straightforward. I did this until I exhausted all combinations of male/female, human/Beastren, and all four inclinations. I think I've accumulated a total of 1.5 mil between the couple of times I've done this. I wanted to make sure I could buy the items from the Volcano Island and have enough gold for enhancing. I think I might buy two of every armor for potential fashions, and buy every ownable residence. You can also get Wakestone Shards by hiring level 1 Pawns who want you to hire them for a day and night. Hire two of them and sit on a bench that usually in or just outside of one of these grand pawn halls. Keep an eye for other results like very, very very rare enhancement items. I got 12 black freakish manes and a few of the last token rewards this way. Check the pawn stone for what the pawns in the rift want you to do and what the rewards are. Also, also ... Often, the game will auto complete your Pawn's pawn quest after a few IRL days. Especially if you don't get hired.

There is a refresh timer for sure since I favorite every pawn that has enemy kill and 10K reward and I uses multiple times the same pawn in few days and they gave me my reward normally I just don't know whats the refresh timer I guess its 24 or something along thous lines.

If only there was something decent to spend it on. The stats on armor seem to change between your pawn and Arisen anyway. I had my Arisen and pawn wearing the same armor, both as warrior with the same upgrades and my arisen's stats were lower

I was spending all my gold of Ferrystones, then I got the the unmoored world and got 21 stones in like 15 minutes 😒 so yeah I feel you. Gold isn't really important once you hit a certain point which is why I feel like this won't get patched.

many of these pawns' quests don't reset until their player rests at an inn. Changing your filters should give you new pawns.

This does not work for me at all. Followed the very simple instructions. When i set pawns for lvl 1-5, i only get 1 pawn and that pawn does not give me a good reward and doesnt accept any arrow. Even if i set the pawn lvl a little higher to give me more than ONE pawn in the rift, i get a bunch of pawns with no quest. Even the few pawns that are there with a quest, they are giving a scrag of beast or 5k coins for defeating a cyclops or giving any random useless item for actually going and doing something, not just giving them an arrow. Has this been patched?

So it “works” but not as good as it was in your video lol they definitely fixed it. I was able to only find 2 hired pawns with the onyx to be gifted for an arrow even with filtering ect the same pawns i used before kept popping up even sleeping for 2 days didnt change anything. There was one that gave me 10k gold for an arrow but maybe ill just try it at a bunch of different riftstones and stack up the 12 til its at 99 slowly. Great video though wish i caught it sooner 💯

Brother i just got 5x allheal elixiers for 1 arrow...i spent thousands of gold to dupe em before this xD quests dont reset and no other pawns appear after changing up the search. Rested in an inn 3 times now and nothing changed (PC)

This doesn't seem to be a thing anymore. I have left the filters alone and slowly changed one at a time between levels 1 and 5. I have even tried widening to level 10 but after doing this for about 30 minutes, I was only able to get 72 Onyx. Now I only get the already completed quest pawns or pawns with no quests at all.

It does take from your storage but only once. So if 10 people complete your Pawn quest you only lose 12 Onyx

I filtered by lv1+(one gender&race)+(one class)+(one inclination) and rotated through them changing one filter at a time to avoid duplicate summons. After covering all the Lv1s moved on to Lv2, etc. I viewed the quest from the rift crystal instead of from the overhead Specialization/Quest.

This will spoil the whole adventure, If this is your first playthrough I would not recommend it. Altogether, ive done it myself as a completionist. And it left me with a hollow feeling. Lucky people dont give Wyrmslife Crystals in exchange for arrows.

You dont have to give them a gift btw, just cancel and give them a thums up or heart. Thats what the people doing this are after anyway, not items. I know this because I did this exact thing last night. Also people are doing this for likes/hearts but also because its doable. They arent losing anything because the 12 onyx they give out is literally multiplied 10 fold to everyone hiring their pawn, but they get that 12 onyx themselves from every other person doing this, so it just multiplies and everyone gains, even the people doing this. Its to help the community so they dont have to worry about gold - this also works with allheal elixirs btw, and these are super helpful for the unmoored world. Basically the community is actually super helpful, and always has been - DD1 was the same, had lots of people hiring my Pawn to get all the pawn knowledge for example.
