@@1C3TV Yeah I kinda just figured in my first time playing... Maybe if I wear the outfit again they wont attack me. But after I freed him I wasn't wearing it and they instantly attacked me. So maybe if I wore it again they wouldn't attack me?

This is broken. Like 10 guards attacked me and because you can't dodge, they just surrounded me and threw me in jail. I broke out and then opened this guy's cell to talk to him and he just told me to go away. Ridiculous. [EDIT] So, I put my normal clothes back on and went back and he spoke to me. But now Kendrick won't start that quest you're on in the video. He wants to talk about some other stuff going on with the lookalike kid.

That's....weird. So Kendrick is forcing you to do Daphne's quest? Try gifting him some food or something. It must be because your affinity with him is too low

@@1C3TV I ended up going back and was offered the food choice, but nothing happened. Then I saw the money choice, tried it, and it worked.

You can get the guards armor or just go down there and wait at the top when the guards aren’t looking to run into the cell

You have to have a quest to collect the books active. One quest is given by the little girl in the woods in the north, the other by her dad in Checkpoint Rest Town

Hi. Ive checked in the tower and the magistrate is in none of the cells. Have you heard of this before? Wearing the suit works but the magistrate isent there.

I went to gaol bc I got arrested then just unlocked the cell and left with no problem even from the guard. Then I started this quest and immediately went down to the guy in the gaol with no disguise or anything but I wasn’t attacked by the guards this that happened to anyone else?

Whats the checkpoint rest town?

Checkpoint Rest Town is the town with the gate leading into Bhattal. There is an oxcart from Vernworth that you can take to it.

It's the only unbreakable jail key you can get your hands on in the whole game

This quest is so stupid it hurts. I dont know if you need to wear any specific armor, I was a Mystic Spearhand with the default armor and walked around the jail like no one cared. I opened cell doors and the guards just didnt do anything. I am inside speaking with the magistrate door fully open, guard passes outside, sees us, does nothing. Then we go out of the cell to escort the magistrate outside the jail and he is standing next to the guard, who does absolutely nothing lmao... Who tf designed these quests? Why? Just remove the guards at least... it makes more sense if there are no guards than the ones they put in...

You have to have either the Spellbound or Sorcerer's Appraisal quest active before he'll give you the tome.

You may need to wait a day, then donate again. I remember donating a few times just out of generosity before getting to this quest. It's essentially to raise your affinity with him. He doesn't have to love you or anything like that, just be cool enough with you to open up some new dialog.

You can buy a new set from the vendor in town there is also another set in a chest in the castle.

Where is "this oxcart" located? I have no idea where that is.

On the map inside Vernworth there are two oxcarts. One goes to Melve the other sto Checkpoint Rest Town. Talk to the driver to find out which is which. I THINK the one to the North goes to Checkpoint Rest Town.

That's interesting. You may need to visit him a few times down in the slums to raise your affinity with him to get the book.
