the thing that makes the least sense to me is R* choosing to upgrade the regular Banshee. They could have chosen to go the “regular banshee -> 900R -> 900R HSW” route, which would’ve been more in line with their usual money hungry approach. Even classing it back in sports wouldn’t have broken the logic since it’s already so far gone

I really like the way these upgrades work. The new consoles seem to be able to handle it, and it looks like we are getting some longer braking distances, which makes it better from a racing perspective. Also the option to disable the upgrades for races gives us the freedom to choose what we want. I am just hoping that every new car will have these upgrades and they will add a lot of the older cars to the list as well. If its only a list of 15 or 20 cars in the end, it will be forgotten about just like open wheel cars or karts.

@@milankowalsky7291 PC can easily handle it. There are modded FiveM servers where you can go 440kph, which is more than twice the speed that the current fastest car in vanilla GTA can go. I regularly play on them with only an RTX 2060 graphics card and i still easily get 120fps with graphics settings on high and ultra on most options. Mind you FiveM still used normal GTA V as the base, so the performance is the same

Almost 9 years later and Cars actually feel fast now. Besides the Pariah and Itali GTO, I've never felt that any car had a good sense of speed or acceleration. 60fps also is a game changer... ;)

Nah The Comet S2 was the one that felt the fastest when I drove it (In the city and highway). The insane engine sound coupled with the high revving once on final drive. That is why I will always favor the Comet S2 but the new fully modded Hakuchou Drag sounds amazing too.

The Banshee was already uncontrollable before these upgrades. It is now a DEATH WISH of a car, which makes it the PERFECT car for competitive fun racing, with more power and less control. I expect all the stunt races to break down completely, because these cars will FLYYYYYYY off the track, they were meant for the older cars. The Pariah itself could not hurl itself off some stunt track jumps without ending up completely beyond the desired landing pad in the race.

Since the day I tasted 540km/h (337mph) on FiveM, I've always wanted to have faster cars on vanilla GTA. Every car always felt restrained with a power/speed limiter. I'm happy to see we can now go a lot faster without resorting to mods or trainers, I just hope we will have this change to a lot more cars (past and future) and maybe at least reach 320km/h (200mph) As always, thank you Broughy for your dedication to give us quick and reliable information! I’m actually really looking forward to the hsw cyclone lap time. I think it’ll go sub 58 easily since it’s basically rocket powered with the acceleration. The hackuchou tho I think will be a contender for the fastest in the game with the br8, I think that will go sub 55 pretty easily too

As a spoiler from my personal testing i was able to get a 00:57:435 out of the car. And i am not a very good driver. The ignus for me was close to this as well. Expect sub 56 laptimes

The thing is that the Cyclone HSW is honestly aweful to drive. It has amazing acceleration, but it understeers like crazy. I can't say for sure, but to me it feels very FWD bias for a awd car.

It would make sense if every raceable car got HSW upgrades and not a select few like it currently is. I'm sure if that was done, then we'd see a closer range of speeds and probably lap times within classes. Regardless of the unbalance now, I do like that these upgrades just changes the acceleration and speed. I think the racing will be more realistic, with braking and cornering being more into the 'driver's hands' rather than a low speed grip monster around the corners. I think the cars that should be given HSW mods are the open wheel cars. Those cars deserve to hit much higher top speeds, but it would help provide a reason to slow down and brake for corners, rather than hold them flat out. They probably need to reduce the downforce load still, just cause they are so ridiculous, but the speed increase should help regardless.

From a racing point of view, these upgrades are pretty cool, adding loads of power and not touching other handling aspects sounds like it'll be challenging in some instances (Adder HSW anyone?) However, I'm worried these will be the only cars you'll ever need anymore, and if HSW mods are enabled in a race, every other car might become obsolete (except maybe the STX?), and races would become a bit boring without variety. Ik more vehicles will be HSW-able in future, but for now, I don't wanna have to be forced to use a Turismo Classic in every random Sports Cl. race. We'll wait and see the lap times, I'm eager to know. Also, would you happen to know if HSW mods are enabled by default in Premium Races?

R* having classes unaffected by HSW does have a benefit of keeping classes separated if/when more per class get access to HSW upgrades. We can interpret one of each class getting HSW as a test to see if people actually want cars to behave like this, with the option to give any given class more HSW members (e.g. deveste 8). What I like about this update is that it doesn't necessarily impact anything it doesn't have to, given the hosts' ability to toggle HSW in race lobbies.

I think it is bad that they've added HSW mods to 1-2 top tier vehicles across many classes instead of focusing on bringing up more lower tier vehicles from 2 to 3 classes (Sports, Coupés, Muscles would be my picks). I can only imagine them adding the HSW mods to vehicles worthy of such high top speeds such as the Peyote Gasser & Gauntlet Hellfire yet not breaking the classes for overall track performance. The Turismo C., Hakuchou Drag, Astron & Ignus were already great & balanced for their respective classes, no need to boost them even more...

Will you update the spreadsheet with the info you can gather on the consoles like price, drivetrain layout (RWD or AWD), as well as the most important thing, the *number of gears* ? I doubt any of the variant cars have 8 gears stock, but it is R*, so who knows (S2 Cabrio comes to mind)... I personally don't put transmission upgrades on 8 speed cars because it feels like they just can't go into top gear anymore if you do, and you end up slower because you can't max out the rpm, but with HSW, this may not be a problem with 9 upgraded speeds/gears...

What I'm amazed about the HSW cars is the fact that there are two seperate bars for acceleration. It almost looks like a massive oversight but what's crazy is that Rockstar would always look at things like this and "patch" them as "bugs" when it's an excuse of their greed and laziness. I'll be very surprised if this and the And the ability to buy player vehicles doesn't get removed or patched and end up as something completely intentional.

But if R* wasn't dumbells, they would give that type of cars Tires_Can_Clip Flag, so it would prevent suspension from gaining speed from any bounce and curb on flat surface on road. But instead they didn't give them it, and viseris get even shittier option like all tuners.

Even u somehow drop gear due crash u can get same behavior, even if you brake hard and accelerate then - U also can stuck on first gear without acceleration and all u can do and must to do - Unpress acceleration button and press it again. Tyrant has all shittiest advanced flags 1) Fixed amount of top speed, early upshifts, problem with MDSB and first gear after downshift and revving car. ("Viseris flag") 2)Late upshifts, random power dropping near to redline on curbs (That's why it struggles to get into 3 gear, because of 1 and 2 flag) 3)Bouncy suspension (Second shittiest flag, they add it, cuz they did his suspension way too soft) 4)"Fake wheelspin" - More powercutting when u lose traction or your car started to slide. Without flag car will drops its RPMs to 6-7 With flag car will drops its RPMs under 6-5

The 900R is a separate vehicle so it doesn't get the HSW upgrades

@@Johnny362000 I think they mean the opposite - do the HSW upgrades first so they are applied to the car, then take that Banshee to Benny's and see if the upgrades remain.

@@GT_IndirectKing yes, I know. The 900R is a separate car and so does not have the upgrades. If you take a HSW Banshee and "upgrade" it to a 900R you lose the HSW upgrades because it doesn't have them

the E&E version is the GTA Online version exclusive to PS5/XSX, so if you bought the right version, you would have access to HSW
