It's a meme enough a BMW i8 is one of the fastest in GTA (faster than a Rica Nevera - imo beyond stupid lol), it's a letdown of a car irl so it's quite ironic. Don't get me wrong, nearly 400hp in a 3200lb vehicle is very quick, but the irony is that it's a $150,000 starting price for mid performance that a $60,000 corvette can give you (and more).

@@StalinBeWallin so many cars are like that in this game. my favorite example is that the Comet S2 has some of the most boaty handling and mediocre performance amongst the Tuners class despite the real life 911 being one of the fastest production cars on a track (at least in the GT3 and GT2). meanwhile the Vectre is at the top of the Tuners class despite the real life RC-F being underwhelming even with the Track Edition they dropped.

the thing that makes the lack of adding HSW to older cars all the more infuriating is how _trivial_ it is to add HSW upgrades. They could easily add 5-10 HSW versions of old cars every update without any effort but the only one we've gotten since the initial batch was the Stirling GT, and that was nearly 2 years ago now. The most time consuming part of adding HSW to an old car is probably making the liveries, so why are they being so stingy about it? Hell, if you're going to add it to new cars why not add it to _all_ new cars? Why the arbitrary decision to give it to the Euros and Niobe, and not the Paragon, Envisage, or Dominator FX?

The new police cars are flying off the shelves despite their prices, so why doensn't Rockstar just make the Niobe 4 million from the start, no HSW, same speed as it is now, and give the HSW upgrade to something like the Bullet or the Phoenix for like 2 or 2.5 million instead? They can put whatever price tag on the new cars anyway. This way they would delete not only the 4 million from the player's account, but also the 2 million for the old car upgrade, with still only one HSW upgrade to add to the game. And we as the players wouldn't have the scummy hidden paywall for new HSW cars.

the hidden paywall is what makes people buy the car, gtao players in general are more likely to buy the car if it looks (relatively)low on the website only to find out that it's really expensive after the full upgrade, it sucks but it works and it sucks that it works because it's a very predatory way to get players to spend more money

The Hakuchou Drag also being a bike means you're eligible for the favorite bike bonus buffs as well. Imo that makes it the best HSW vehicle.

@asap2465 Pretty much use any bike you want as your only means of transportation. I think you can check in the mc club portion of the interaction menu when registered as an mc president.

Drive the Bike you want as Favorite and never switch to another one until it turns to Favorite Bike. Otherwise the Hidden Bike Timer resets if you switch Bike even once.

Honestly surprised they haven’t put HSW and all E&E on PC except because they want it exclusive to new gen (even though the PC platform can perform better a decent amount of the time). Maybe one day…

What really grinds my gears as someone who primarily plays this game for the cars, is that rockstar removes speed glitches and nerfs fan favourite cars like the Jester classic that causes no harm to them or the players and is purely just used for fun. But won’t at least give us HSW upgrades to make these older cars worth having. I would think this alone would make them a lot of money as well.

Great video and definitely one of many that I have been excited to see, especially since nowadays I have been buying and upgrading a ton of cars (most notably adding the Cosmo Tuner or Flat Six Offroad tires like a lot of your cars have). I still agree with everything you say about the idea of HSW: older cars being brought up to the pace of the newer cars and being relevant again instead of just the newer cars being dominant everywhere. I think what's more annoying is that it didn't even take a year for Rockstar to stop adding the upgrades to old cars and only to the new cars. The only exceptions I will allow are the 5 cars added with Expanded and Enhanced. I'm sure we can both agree if we (as in the community) were in charge of the HSW cars, we would only add it to popular cars like the Zentorno, 9F, etc.

IRL that's the tuning world, take an old car and build it. I wonder if part of it is because not enough people were bothering to upgrade the old cars.

In addition, it's not just a case of testing the new police cars - the entire emergency class requires retesting too. On top of that, there are other classes that still need retesting (the most notable being off-roads which people are constantly asking me about). So with all that put together, it will be some time before the 2024 emergency class video which contains the new police cars. But, as with every car in the game, they will get tested and feature in a video sooner rather than later.

My guess for why the update and HSW isn't on PC is because the market is too variable. We dont know how many people even run the game from an SSD or HDD, even those who run off of an SSD might not be at an acceptable speed to make the gameplay smooth and reliable. PS5 and Series consoles have some of the fastest SSD's and you can find similar speeds on the PC market but I would guess less than 0.01% of players even have those.

The Reever has a much higher top speed than these cars and that is on PC with no issue -- hardware limitations isn't the problem it's a manufactured barrier to entry

My original 2013 testing was stock cars, so not particularly relevant. Best thing to do is use the filtering on gtacars. Specifically these then change the class (jobs) filter to suit: gtacars.net/?filter_dlc=TitleUpdate&sort=lap_time&filter_race_class=sup

He is on Console & just transferred over to xbox series XS, hope you can help, my top speed 168mph in the Stinger, I know in campaign ye can use Franklin to get those types of speeds but not sure how he has those in hes online Stats

Read: gtacars.net/gta5/topspeed There are all sorts of bugs and whatnot that cause that reading to be wrong. Mine is over 300mph in a Roosevelt from doing tattoo parlour door launch glitches back in 2014. That stat can't be trusted.

Broughy, the GTO Stinger TT has been buffed...it's handling has improved since the latest update..check it out! Also would love to see the personal vehicle COP cars getting tested has it's hard to tell which one performs the best around a track...keep up the great work! cheers

The first few vehicles aren't correct, either their top speed is wrong or their position compared to the others is incorrect. The Issi Rally has 138.5 mph which is stated as 23rd but the next car in the Sentinel XS has 136.5 mph but is stated to be 18th.

I completely agree, new cars should be at “HSW speed” from the box and they should put HSW upgrades on older cars. Win win for everyone. However, my theory is that it’s all because of old gen. If anyone is still on old gen, like myself, you’ll agree that even the weevil custom and pariah make the map not load in in free roam. The player base is still quite large and thus adding to their shark card sales. Until they stop updating old gen, I don’t see them doing what we all think would be best. Like PS3-PS4/Xbox 360-Xbox One, people will keep playing the older gen until it stops being updated.

No it wouldn’t, the reever’s top speed is higher than all these cars and that’s fine on old gen. Technical limitations have never been a reason for car speeds - it’s all manufactured.

I'll say it again, old gen better, hsw is nonsensical, overpriced and op, old gen is so much more balanced and just makes sense like with an Urus being top of the class over a Sienna and F1 cars being faster than road cars smh

There are still a plethora of nonsense and unbalanced cars on Gen8 game versions. The Club, for example, utterly demolishes the rest of the Compacts class and sets a laptime on par with the Hotrings. The Kamacho is king in Offroads and has an utterly stupid amount of performance (especially traction) for such a big bulky vehicle

Nice video. Yea i have (raced) a few Hakucjow drags on my Gotti TT, and from 0 to 60, they get me. I come around them about 100, then there back around about 130, then i come back around. We all know handing is a different story but when you pass a drag on a car, there definitely confused. Lol
