Just bought Typhoon, completed a lot of speed runs with other buggies (over 60mph), but out of the box with 3S 5000 65C still ca not get buggy to go 50mph, does it need a change in pinion? Many thanks

Enjoy your videos!! You can easily get your buggy to 50+mph, you just need to swap out the pinion that is included with your Typhon. If you do can you please post an update.

ive been in the RC hobby since 1983, & the Typhon 3S is a Great buy. my 10 year old daughter was driving it earlier in the driveway & she LOVED it. I found the handling really nice straight out of the boxX, my only negative for the car would be the fact that the steering can get locked in place if you drive on rocks of a size smaller than 1 inch, or so.

P B I like the go anywhere attitude of the monster trucks, but as I’ve put together a few crawlers now, I’m really enjoying the scale look of things. I think the SCT and buggy style vehicles capture that better than the truck/truggy style does.

I bought a senton with no electronics. Put all Traxxas steering and camber ends which got rid of the slop. Converted it to a typhon and put a Traxxas vxl 3s system in it. I wonder if it would be any faster? It is rated 70mph in there cars. We will see?

I just bought one three days ago and I love it what's the best way to set the esc control system I have a blackout xte pro brushless so I'm running the battery from it and I lunched it 20 feet in the air and lost in a small creek and the only thing you could see was the back fin I punched it and had know problem getting out of two feet of water I love the buggy

Yes definitely but we recommend what we do for very good reason. Quality batteries make a HUGE difference in performance and will usually last longer than cheap batteries, saving you money over time. 😁👍😎⚓

Arrma typhon 6s is amazing I've had it 6+years never broke anything or worked on it other than tires 65 mph. All around is better than any rc I've ever had no maintenance and ran hard. With different gear on motor they can hit 102 mph. It came with the Gear. Try a show on it . I need a gauge for speed. Enjoy

I can already tell you the senton is faster because it's running a 20 tooth pinion while the Typhon is a 15. That being said the Typhon probably will be more stable so it should be a good race. You have to put a 26 tooth on to hit 50 with these Arrma 3s blx models but with a 20 tooth I've seen it hit 47mph, pretty fast.

First I wanna say that absolutely love ur videos! I like how you both always give honest opinions and try to cover most things that the everyday RC hobbyists would want to know. I did have a question tho. I’ve got into drones over the last yr or so. I currently have the DJI Spark, the Tello, and the Propel Star Wars X-wing (which I love). But I was looking to buy a good entry level RC car or truck. Something in between $100-$300, with brushless motors. I don’t know that much at all as far as specs, batteries, or motors. What would be ur recommendation? Also, I’ve heard you guys mention ur from KY. I live in eastern KY myself. I’m about 10miles from VA, and maybe 75 or so from WV. What part are you guys from? Sorry for the rambling. lol

Yep it's fast. It's stable too. Useful if you have somewhere to race it. And of course it, like most RC cars, can be "bashed" but even there you won't get to use most of that speed. These cars are a bit like supercars, great to look at, great to be one-up on other drivers but over 90% of people who buy them won't be able to use most of their capabilities. _Controversial possibly but there you go_ ;)

So I put a 100C 3s battery in my typhon blx 3s.... its significantly more aggressive and a lot faster. i highly recommend a couple bursts with a 100c, ive been running battery after battery through mine with no issues electronically. have broken a lot of plastic due to driver's error though. :D 100C really brings out the DEMON in these things.
