Enjoy a tour of my 55 acres of trails, specifically tailored to my Polaris Rzr XP1000. This is where I get all my practice for the GNCC season

Hey D. you know the deal, always enjoy hearing from those who are knowledgeable, always hoping to learn something new. Jon absolutely rips it up in fashion, I have a similar woods track here on my farm and have made many videos and until you experience those trees blistering by in person, the videos just cant touch what actually occurs during the run. I wouldn't ride a moped in a parking lot with cars but I will air it out in trees.

What tires have you been running? I have a maverick x3 and just can find a tire that hooks decent here on the east coast. Also have you done WEXCR, AWRCS, or NECXC?
@JonPowersDrives6 жыл бұрын
Ive been running OTR Engineering Wizzards. Easily best tire and compound available. Let me know and I can get you hooked up. They also pay contingency if you win or podium.
@willshoemaker22126 жыл бұрын
Jon Powers I'd love to race the x3 but she'd kill me. I'm stuck to bikes if I go to race. Do they have a website?

You've gotta be super careful doing donuts! IF you don't have a good feel for it, and you're not used to the particular vehicle, it's so easy to start tipping over! Not nearly as much feeling as a quad(ATV)

How did you go about making this track? My dream is to save up and buy a lot of land (even if it means living in a smaller house) to have a whole private off road "park" to myself. That would probably involve clearing trails to make a track though. Did you do it yourself or did you have a crew come in?
@JonPowersDrives5 жыл бұрын
Shark Bait pretty cool story behind it very good question. So my parents bought this property in the late 70s it was a farm. There was a natural gas well on the land so there was an access road to it, and then there was an easement for the gas line to travel under the ground. So that right there is about 50% of the trails in this video. Then my parents had loggers come in and cut timber down and they brought huge logging equipment which created about the other 50%. And I’ve rented an excavator one time to just renovate the trails and clear out some ruts so essentially I’ve paid next to nothing to have this awesome practice track! I’m so lucky!

How rich do you have to be for a private test track?
@JonPowersDrives5 жыл бұрын
considering the low value of the wooded land, not that rich
@Ryan-hp6xt5 жыл бұрын
You can buy 112 acres in Grundy VA for less than $100,000 and you're within a mile of Spear Head Trail system. You can get land in coaltownship PA, and near Edinburg VA, all in the woods/mountains etc really cheap. What I'm going to do is have my house where my family is, near work etc, then I'm going to buy 300+ acres out in the middle of nowhere and clear out some camping spots, and just have a get away. You can get land in the boonies for next to nothing.

Tell'em all Jon, If they consider that to fast, may I suggest they stick with the Snapper Riding mower on the grass in the yard. You have impressed me and that's a comment I don't just throw out very often. Best to you and all upcoming events, always wishing you the best. Unit sounds great what pipe do you run? I went with the dual bikeman, have no intentions of ever competing again but just have to hear my power. first bikeman I've everhad, what's your opnion on my choice?
@JonPowersDrives5 жыл бұрын
Marty Smoak so sorry for the delay in commenting back Marty! Some of the comments slip past me. Thank you so much that means so much to me! My pipe is HMF. I think bikeman is a good choice they’re a very reputable company with high quality products, but I think their exhaust is a bit too loud for my preference! A lot of guys I’ve raced with run them.
