When you put the vice grip on the push rod, did you do it while someone was pressing on the brakes?

No, brakes were set. Both knobs out.

Brakes are set, no air when replacing the chamber. There are many different ways to change them and this is just one way how I do it.

Ya that’s slick! Then no need to measure and cut the end that connects to the slack adjusters right? My break pots in the front portion are always packed with mud I can’t get a cage bolt in.. what would happen if I took off that clamp closer to the axle without caging the break pot?

@@justinriben8197 if the parking spring inside was broken up good, nothing it would just fall off. If the spring is still somewhat intact, it would shoot off like a rocket. The parking spring has about 15,000 lbs of force so don’t put your face in front of the chamber when you take it off without caging it.

I never understood why they would brake apart a new chamber just to use half of it. The service side of the new chambers were everywhere, had to trash them.
