If the voting was a problem you would have seen it in the previous commenting format. The amount of people posting for giggles are just the same except now the new format forces us to see this a lot easier than before. Whereas before these posts would just fall off the front page, save for the few who actually try to look for these posts to reply to.

shizzlebizzfizz Its mostly because people are posting stupid stuff to "prove" the new comment system doesnt work well, and people upvote it to "prove" it doesnt work well, so in the end its only our faults.

This is fantastic. A few things I can hopefully add that will make it even easier. 1) If you don't have 2 metal bowls the same size, a pot with a lid works really well. 2) If you wet the inside of the container before you start shaking, it will catch a lot of the little pieces of garlic skim.

@JohnDoe-pe6iu9 жыл бұрын
I tried it with just a glass jar with a plastic lid and it works! Remember you need to shake vigorously making sure that with each shake the cloves are hitting against each end of the bottle. The smashing action causes the cloves to break and loosen the skin...similar to smashing the cloves under a knife but here you are not individually smashing the life out of each clove but introducing gentle smashes on several cloves at the same time. If you cannot shake with sufficient energy to make sure the cloves get a solid impact against the end of the bottle with each shake then it wont work. Great idea and as i said work great it shaken vigorously with the proper energy and understanding!

You don't even need two same size bowls for this. You can just throw the cloves in any container with a lid, as long as it is large enough to shake freely. If you just want to peel a few cloves, cut off the woody stem, crush lightly with the flat of the knife and pinch the skin off from the tip.
