This truly DOES work, I’ve been doing this forever and I️ haven’t had a bad breakout since I️ was 11 ( I️ don’t use tea tree oil because I️ have sensitive skin ) I’ve been using Aveeno moisturizer for sensitive skin and it has spf of 15 and for cleanser I️ use CeraVe (all the other cleansers make my face red or breakout but I’m going to switch to the Aveeno foaming cleanser) 💓💓💓

My skin routine for oily skin (just because) I wash my face with soap (regular dove soap) Then i use a cleanser (clearasill) Then i use an eczema cream (cause i tend to get this kind of bumps that arent acne or pimples) And then i use an aloe vera gel If you have problems finding a skin care routine that keep you skin clear try this!! Plus it removes acne scars and trust me on this one i had a lot of acne skars and now i barely have any!!

Hi Chris! I'm currently 17 and suffer from mild acne. This usually occurs after i shave. I really don't know if it's the shaving cream or the technique 😂. Would be awesome if you could do a vid on 'how to shave with sensitive/ acne-prone skin'. 🙌
@CHRISGIBSONLIVE4 жыл бұрын
Hi! That's a very common problem we guys face. No pun intended 😎 The reason this is common, especially when using a razor. The hairs being cut so close to the surface of the skin allows them to get "stuck" at the edge of the pore which can lead to bacteria getting a foothold and causing the breakouts or razor rash. One thing that really helps is to dab Listerine on the area shaved right after. Aftershaves are designed to do the same thing but have no bacteria killing essential oil like Listerine does. Make sure you wash/rinse your razor after every use. I will be doing a video for this again 😎 with some new products I'm testing. Here is a video I did on razor rash that might be helpful until then! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYbLepKtZbWlf5o

I discovered this when I was a teenager. I read a book in the school library that described acne as an infection that occurred when your pores became clogged by dirt and bacteria that fed on the trapped oil. I got rid of the acne by: 1) Eliminating all milk consumption and seriously reducing my intake of oily/greasy foods, 2) Washing my face every day with hot water (no soap, creams, etc.) and a simple washcloth.

Thank you for this. I'm going to try it. I've been trying for a long time, many years, to clear my acne. Its getting very frustrating. My skin is super sensitive and its hard to find things that don't make things worse. I've got a horribly oily forehead and nose then everything else (where the acne is) is super dry and flakey. Ugh I hope this works!!! 😭
@CHRISGIBSONLIVE5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! It should help with the oiliness absolutely. Use my 5 minute rule for sensitive skin too. Always wait 5 minutes after cleansing or steaming before applying any kind of skincare product. You might try a small amount of Olive oil for your dry areas.😎❤️ Chris

Thank you for replying. ATM I'm doing the steam, cleanse, scrub, tone, hyaloronic acid (sure I messed up the spelling but its a tough one lol), moisturise. My oilyness has gotten better but my cheeks still a little dry. In the past any oil on my face has just made things super worse. But I may try the tea tree oil just on my cheeks. I will try to update on how its going. Thanks again. 😊

Would just standing in the hot shower do essentially the same thing for steaming? Or does it do something different?
@CHRISGIBSONLIVE3 жыл бұрын
It's is actually different, while a hot shower does provide steam, it's not enough contact with skin to create the release of pore congestion we care after. Similar to the difference between a shower and 20 minutes in a steam room or sauna.

Can acne be genetically inherited? Because my dad also has bad acne breakout
@CHRISGIBSONLIVE5 жыл бұрын
This is a really great question! You can inherit sensitivity but not acne itself. So you can have traits like oily skin, small pores, or an immune system that is hypersensitive to the acne b. bacteria ....all contributing to the problem...but not the cause. You can have a sibling inherit all the same traits and never have a breakout. 😎
@mantamocha57396 жыл бұрын
😯 This may work for your acne and breakouts but who wants open pores? That can make your skin look horrible.... Isn't having nice tight pores an important factor for beautiful skin?
@CHRISGIBSONLIVE6 жыл бұрын
I love that you asked this question! Using the hot cloth or steaming only temporarily opens pores, allowing built up oil, debris, and dead skin to escape. As soon as the skin cools the pores actually retract and are smaller. 😎😎😎 They are also now much less prone to block and cause breakout. If you are struggling with large pores did you know that applying a mask of whipped up egg whites will shrink pores even more? I appreciate you for bringing up this question! Chris G

Any tips for acne scaring? Iv tried a lot of stuff. It’s redness and some deep scaring
@CHRISGIBSONLIVE6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and asking a question. Two things you have to address with this (just like I did) is the leftover redness and uneven skin. The best way to achieve both is doing a few deeper skin peels. Salons offer them but there a few diybat home brands that are good such as the Skin Culture Peel. In the meantime, check out the video on removing redeness with a green bb cream. You can find it in the product reviews playlist.😎 Also, every evening massage your skin in the red areas with some oliveoil and roes water. You'll find that a great help. Chris G

What other oils can we use instead of tea tree oil because I have sensitive skin
@CHRISGIBSONLIVE6 жыл бұрын
Hi there and thanks for your question. For general skin care and to help your skin produce less of it's own oil,which acne bacteria thrives on, try a drop or two of olive oil. You can also try diluting a drop of the tea tree oil with a drop of olive oil. If you are still sensitive to it, try lemon grass oil in it's place. Let me know how that works for you. ❤️ Also, watch the video on the Top 10 Oils for skin for more tips and oil choices. Chris G

@CHRISGIBSONLIVE6 жыл бұрын
Hi, Depending on the depth of scarring you can approach acne scars two ways. A good make up tutorial to cove them and make them vanish is one. For this I HIGHLY recommend Wayne Goss at kzbin.info. He is a master at that and has videos on the subject. For a permanent solution you are going to have to turn to skin peels. There are many out there two. If you watch my How To Get Clear Skin With Exfoliation I talk about these and give the links in the video description. Be sure to check out and join the blog about peels as well....skinsofabulus.chrisgibsonlive.com if you haven't already! Chris G

Islandgirl Love, Retin A and Differin gel can get rid of some scarring (Rolling scars) and can easily get rid of PIH marks. As for actual scarring itself (Boxcar, ice-pick, and rolling scars) you'll have to turn to lasers, chemical peels, OR derma-rolling. Derma-rolling is the cheapest method for actual scarring and I personally wouldn't recommend Retin A unless you want to look like a shedding snake the entire time you use it haha. I use Differin gel and it doesn't dry my skin out and you don't need a prescription anymore for it.
@islandgirllove91146 жыл бұрын
Radical Sans thanks but is it sold in the us because I am in Italy.
@caitlinpoling87186 жыл бұрын
Islandgirl Love, it might go by a different name in your country- Adapalene gel is a type of retinoid known for removing shallow scars, those red acne marks (PIH marks), and fine lines/wrinkles. Differin Gel is basically the top leading "Name brand" adapalene product which you can find in any drugstore in the US. As for Italy if it was indeed sold there it would be in a drugstore. Now on the chance they don't sell it I would check to see which products in your country contain Adapalene. You don't want it strong- probably around 0.01% percent. You can usually see a difference in your skin in the first month, it does take some time though. Most people apply it after they wash their face before bed.

@martinortiz53906 жыл бұрын
CyberPlay You wanna keep your skin moisturized. If you dont your face will dry out and your body will know it, and it will produce twice as much oil. Also, If your diet sucks it will be dirty oil as opposed to clean tea tree oil or other moisturizers. Its all about clean diet and moisturizing
@CHRISGIBSONLIVE6 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind, that the only oil that acne bacteria likes is human oil. Other oils like essential oils, olive oil, will not contribute to breakouts. If you have oily skin a very small amount of these applied to the skin will keep your body from over producing your own. Just like Martin said ( he is absolutely right) its all about diet and what you put on your skin. Cheers Martin! Chris Gibson

Hi Chris, the ingredients ( benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid) are the same in Proactiv and other brands. They dry up the outer layer of skin and produce varying degrees of peeling and kill some of the bacteria. They work well for some and not not for other ( as was my case). Before spending loads of cash on mail order products zip on down to the drugstore and get the same ( Oxy, Acne Free, etc) with the same ingredients to see how our skin reacts to it. I have several videos on steaming and essential oils, as well as diet changes that may be of greater help. Thanks for taking the time to watch and ask questions...your helping others by asking. I will be posting a vid soon on these ingredients without picking on any particular brand. Cheers mate! Chris Gibson ( check out my blog too skinsofabulous.chrisgibsonlive.com )

20 MINS IN THE MORNING AND IN THE EVENING!! GOODBYE 40 MINS OF MY DAY, WHICH I DON'T HAVE!!!

Hi Marco, I do appreciate your feedback and I guess it comes down to giving it a try. My acne was bad enough and bothered me enough I was willing to do it...and it worked for me. You might try just 10 minutes...and once your skin is clear you can cut back. It's about keeping those pores open. But, you took the time to comment and I think that's great! Cheers man...Chris
