Over the past 12+ weeks we got used to Ancient Summoning Crystals as Brave Conquest rewards. No they have disappeared without an announcement and people are pissed. What do you guys think? Lemme know in the comments and on discord what ya think. Enjoy :D

In less than 15 hours from when I went live with this video and we made our thoughts and voices heard, Moonton responded with an apology and a clear commitment to sticking with Ancients as rewards in Brave Conquest in the future. ON TOP OF THAT, they directly sent us the two "missing" ancient summoning crystals via our in-game mailbox (go claim them if you have not yet). I am not trying to kiss up to them or anything. BUT if we are willing to criticize them when they fall short, we must be equally willing to applaud them when do right by us. Huge news for the game and our community. This is great!

Exactly. I only had 30 ancients. I was sick that I didn’t get praetas but I got Silas on a Hail Mary then torredor. So I’m happy. But in 10 months I’ve got 76 ancients

It’s actually not entitlement to get in game currency as rewards. The second you make a part of the game (especially as big as ancients summons) a pay to participate thing people will 100% leave the game. I understand that we can get them from other places but this made it achievable for almost everyone. This is a dirty move by plarium. Sorry meant moonton.

I am a spender some call me a Kraken...but I do think they should inform us when changes happen. You yourself talked about transparently and Moonton should take that to heart. They need to reach out and talk about changes. I know for a fact my f2p friends rely on saving these shards so they can try for banners that will change their accounts. I hope they will make a statement and in the future inform everyone their plans.

Thanks for covering this! I know it's a bit petty, but I saved my ancients for months for this banner and burned through them with nothing to show for it. That's just the way it goes sometimes, but I really thought that I was gonna get two more shots at the big guy. Having that rug pulled from under me didn't feel great.

We need a steady source of red for 'all accounts' , something that provides 6-10 a month is not unreasonnable , putting it around 10-12k points would make sense. Otherwise mid-game accounts will give up (and mid-game from what I observe is when people hang on or give up , it's veeeeery long and tedious farming to get from early to farming the gear dungeon)

I saved my ancients for months. Had 110 for praetus. I hit pity and got a dupe demi! All that saving for a dupe. I only have Ajax, demi and Ghan as lords. Then they get rid of brave conquest ancients..

This is a huge slap in the face for anyone who isn't already in the endgame. Ive been playing for just under 100 days and I feel like I'm at the point where the only way for me to progress is to get better heros. I feel this is a dangerous move for the game. Even with those rewards I was only able to get between 30 or 40 a month. That's literal only 2 guaranteed LL a year. I'm a super sweat lord and only have gotten 112 of these and I complete everything. After all that I got a twinfeind wtf. You can still get an basically unusable hero out of all that effort. This reminds me of what happened with dreamblade. If you make it so difficult to get to a point in the game that only kraken whales and day one sweatlords can reasonable compete you're going slowly lose your players until that's all you have left. It sucks to put all that effort and can't even begin to be competitive, to have a bunch of the content walled off.

My biggest issues with this are the timing, the lack of communication and the fact that they're pushing this arbiter/ancient exclusive meta but are now making it more difficult for people to obtain the necessary heroes. In the past I was decently lucky and pulled Solcadens, but that was 149 days ago... since then I've pulled 174 ancients and no lord yet. I'm not to the level of getting SSS in the codex, I'm only able to do hard void rift and I can't one key NM4. So those ancients from the brave conquest were the only way I was making any real progress toward pity. If they take those out, anybody who isn't endgame or spending a lot of money will be left in the dust. I just hope this is a one off - or that they reconsider.

This isn't a big thing for people that clear CB 1 NM4 50k blood and get the better chests at CB 2. For newer people or those with fewer good champs, this is a grave nerf.

I hit 50k daily but the rewards for gb1 are just horrendous. In comparison with raid unm4 (the highest gb stage) it's night and day. In raid you get something useful from those chest EVERYDAY. In wor I'm surprised if I get 200 diamonds.

In the most recent WoR survey that you can access from in the game, there was a question about our opinion on what to do with leftover hero fragments from summing events like Helga/Krodor. So hopefully this is implemented soonish. Unlike RSL taking 5 years to do it poorly.

Its a bad taste. Blizzard did something similiar in Hearthstone some weeks ago. they made weekly quests way harder for a little more rewards. in the end they came up with "lets meet in the middle" but it felt like a loss for many casual players. its a shady psychological game companies do these days. Its obvious how players would respond if you take away rewards they learned to count on every week. they see CCs video with opening sessions where they open dozens or hundreds of ancients and so many awesome champions flooding the accounts. of course everyone would love to have so much luck and fun. if you take away the only way for new players or F2P in mid game to get ancients you create a psychological fomo. and to do it exactly on anniversary day where people counted on 2 more chances until monday was a very bad braindead move.

I wanted Deimos even before day 1 of my account. DEIMOS sold me onto the game to get me to download it. So, nearly 1 year goes by and no Deimos. Not one. Then that Banner happened. I not only got 1 Deimos, I got Deimos to A-5 all in 1 pulls session. THIS IS THE WAY. I believe. Good things will happen. Hopefully I'll have the same luck with a Luneria banner. Time will tell.

In the grand scheme of things, 12 ancients isn’t going to do much for your account accept maybe give you an additional Niro or Dagna to trade in for reds shiny’s, and I’m not sure if they saw it was a way to pull back on the “generosity”, or a way to throttle back the odds of gaining a host of would-be Praetus’s. Ah hell nah, yeah I’m unsubbing to ivy after that one because wtf? Why wouldn’t us F2P players have some kind of reaction to this? She literally can’t relate, she gets cc rewards every month (I know they aren’t ancient summons but still) & she spends money on the game.. everyone knows the ancients hold the strongest heros in the game & for this change to be added is a pretty big deal for us F2P players. Just from the brave conquest alone, that’s 8 ancients a month and for them to take it away is a slap in the face, so of course we’re gonna feel some kind of way about it. She’s weird for cursing at us, it’s hella unprofessional so yeah won’t be watching her no more, cause it’s literally not her place to even say anything like that when SHE SPENDS MONEY!!

I try to support games like this, but I'm NOT supporting anymore with this huge slap in our face. "WoR gives you more" and then they do this. Such a slap in our face, even more so with their bs slogan.

Can you do videos on low rarity to early game for events that give you those 60 ancients a month. So I'm fairly new, but all I see is your video saying if this game is dying or youtubers not in touch with f2p. After all the saving over the last few months I’m now sitting at 196 pity on ancients…. 1- sad you always need to go to pity to open a lego. 2- sad its gone with no warning on the day I was counting on them got try and hit pity monday. Now I have no hope of reaching pity and my hopes for Preatus are gone…. So sad again, Boreas, strike 1, Nisalt strike 2, removing rewards now,,, low drop rates on ancients and adding it to the Odyssey etc… wow… heartbreaking.

Im a relatively new player so dont know how frequent ancients are as ive not paid MUCH attention and ive not been able to max out any of the game content yet.. That said, I feel like I dont get alot of ancients and this is a huge cut to the amount I can possibly get. so now youre talking about a YEAR to get a guaranteed lord from ancients(pity)? if so.. thats crazy considering a good number of the good heros are locked to ancients.

I didn't even notice this was a thing. But it's thanks to those ancient crystals that I managed to grab praetus. And I'm semi-F2P. Better to just leave them in there at a higher required point and leave it to those who have the resources to go for them. That's how it should be. Moonton struggles to see it at this point of view tho

it feels extra bad after not getting a single leggo from 110 ancient summons in the praetus banner. Please give back the ancients in brave conquest. We have always been able to enjoy the game and look forward to the summoning events because they allowed us to save up a decent amount of summons before the banners. With more heroes added in the game, we need them to add MORE ways to get these summoning crystals but instead, they are taking them away?

It takes minimal effort to have someone on staff write up a short summary of changes being made to game modes and post it in the Announcements page in-game. They don't even have to be ultra specific if they don't want to: "The next Brave Conquest event will have it's Ancient Summons reduced." In this case, they were fully removed, but at least players could see this and respond. Doing it without a warning and having some people defend it as "it's just one event" is extremely tone-deaf. If the devs don't want to tell us in advance, why would we ever expect them to put it back in next event? It's so frustrating playing WoR because it's a fun game with a decent variety of game modes, but Moonton just constantly repeats the same mistakes.

It seems to me that you get more bang for your buck in this event, farming AMR, than you do with gear raids. But yes, they need to bring back the ancients as a reward.

I'm in the minority and think the change is ok. It was honestly really generous of them to do it in the first place, and for so long. When the game falls into another slump, maybe they'll bring it back. As for the new rewards, the skill dust is pretty questionable (I'm drowning in like 8k dust and only 8 crystals), but the rest is fine. I still think its more generous than a game like RSL.

As a mid game player The only way to get ancient summon is to fight semrah. As A F2P beginner it's impossible to get any ancient summon. They need to collect the ancient shard summoning. It take ages to collect. It's a very sad news for beginners and F2P players.

I'm a dolphin, but I find it REALLY hard to purchase ancients because they are so overpriced. So getting these are one of my more consistant ways of getting them, so it is irritating if this is permanent. Serioulsy, 12 ancients a month is NOTHING. I mean, for the player it's HUGE, but for the company... they're not losing anything giving them out, because spenders will need A LOT MORE than 12 ancients. So I don't understand Moonton's move. Clearly they like to play with fire.

What makes me more mad is that they nerfed artifacts and no one is talking about this,since exclusives i keep getting tank and healer trash artifacts and blood signet for marksman have like 20 blood signets and 30 tyas balms

With the increase to 12000 points it should have been the same until 6500 then at 12000 at least 2 more ancients if not 4 and 2-4 more rares mixed in after 6500 also

Man, people just wait for something to piss them off. I do agree we should only get really upset IF it is permanent. When Moonton added this, we still had a negative take: "theyre doing this because the game is dying and they're scared." Come on guys, cut them some slack. Moonton has been the best Gatcha devs Ive personally seen (for WoR at least). Comparing them Plarium is unfair.

I was literally banking on the 2 free ancients I’m at 190 Ancient Pity was hoping to do brave conquest, void rift and the rewards for GB and Semarah to hit lord pity for Prateus but I guess I have to wait another month because of this.

I just left the Game,they are allways doing shit things for players just for money 🤣 and my experience with ancients was terrible, thanks fasti for all your content was absolutly amazing having you in this Game 👍

Honestly, to me, the timing seems the issue. If this had happened not in the midst of the Praetus banner/anniversary it wouldn't have been as cataclysmic. Or if it had been coupled with a new event that gives the red crysts, again, not an issue. I type only for myself, but the change itself isn't the irksome part, it's the timing.

To Devs: I knew you guys took "inspirations" from other games (like Genshim, Raid etc), not only you should look at their game mechanisms, you should learn the same lessons they had in their operations. The most common reason for a gotcha game to go downslide is: THEY PISS OFF PLAYERS BY BEING NASTY
