i owned a ‘22 speed RR last season, there’s a few reasons why i sold mine. a. minor quality issues, had a oil leak from the factory (gear position o ring), clear coat was spotty in some areas, and rust in the front axel from the factory b. electronics were completely unreliable, sometimes traction control worked and sometimes it decided it didn’t want to. i found myself just turning it off bc of how bad it felt. even with it completely off i still felt like it was interfering in some ways. c. the s1000rr is just a better street bike, while also being faster. the 1200 lugs around at 30 mph in first and second, feels horrible while the s1k can cruise around the city no problem while having a 20mph faster top speed d. the 1200 is also limited to 160mph with the stock tune. you can get it to 183 with a bren tune but this voids the warranty. there’s also very little aftermarket support for this bike.

i started watching your channel due to the speed triple. you should do a follow up on your experience.
@shauns52788 ай бұрын
Oh man I knew you sold yours but don't actively follow you so didn't realize how many issues you had. Really seems like you got a lemon. The RR is built in the UK not Thailand like other Triumphs so the fit and finish is usually top notch. Also benefits of the Brentune and DNK it's easy enough to switch back to the stock tune in 30 minutes for any warranty claims. The late 22 factory ECU update fixes quick-shift lag some people experienced then last year they did a recall to add a heat shield near the headers and intake to prevent overheating in places like Florida. Those are the only common issues. Triumph just released a new ECU update to help cooling even more but I'd avoid it unless you live in an area where it regularly hits 115F or higher because it slightly reduces peak power. Also 5th gear has a higher top speed from the factory than 6th lol you can hit around 168~ with a full tuck. For a genuine true liter sport bike I'd also give the nod to the S1KRR or the ZX-10R with a tune.

It's got cruise control and heated grips as much torque as the Aprilia's while making it earlier and on a much broader band while having as much horsepower as the Tuono. Just bought one myself in the Hopper Red. You can find serious steals on leftover 22-23 models. For the price I seriously think the Speed RR is THE best deal on the market if you want a new hyper bike with warranty. I have seen them as low as $15K OTD from smaller mom and pop shops that couldn't move them. As for flashing it seriously makes a crazy difference a BT Tune adds around 24-26whp with just the factory exhaust or a slip-on while DNK for 1/4 the price gets around 15whp. I'd say the best exhausts are Leiker and Racefit for 2/3 systems then there's really only two options for a full system Zard or Vandemon which I'd give the nod to Vandemon for having the only full Titanium system. Also can't forget this is a potential 200HP bike, after flash, that has heated grips, cruise control and built in BT connectivity and navigation while looking like nothing else on the road except for the Superveloce.

Superbike_Otaku says MV Augusta is also a brand that you don't see much of. Beautiful bikes, exotic, status quo. MV Augusta stands out from the crowd.
@shauns52788 ай бұрын
Downside with MV the whole company goes on vacation for a good portion of the year from late summer to early fall so you can't get any OEM parts during that period. Also due to the current KTM merger there is a No Order notice on the VAST majority of OEM parts and straight up bikes for that matter in North America currently. Went to my local MV dealership and they seriously didn't have a single MV in stock which is how I learned about the KTM merger issues. They said the ETA they have is late 25 to early 26 for shipments to begin again.
@rns68893 күн бұрын
Yeah but theres too many downsides of having an mv, first they only sell you either 140 horsepower or 200 horsepower, purchase price, maintenence, is extremely expensive, mainly maintenence and dealership issues. And if you bin it and it needs fixing, it's gonna be even more expensive. A brutale sure stands out from the crowd, but the speed triple rr already does that alot, how distinguished from the crowd do you want to be? Brutale 1000 is too aggressive and peaky and the price is even more ridiculous, the 800 rr is inferior and more nervous to the street triple rs and the 990 duke around a track it's been tested in "fast bikes" KZbin channel. If you wanna buy an mv the only way to justify it is for the rarity of it, becuase in many ways it is inferior to other brands in direct competition. There is one thing I love about mv, it'd that 800 cc triple engine.. It revs, like the daytona.. It sounds so good. But the daytona doesn't exist anymore, which just makes it sound like the mv is special becuase the daytona exists, mv just lives in other brands shadows now, distinguished by their mtorocycle art philosophy. But I don't get mtorocycle for just looks, it's important but.. They just fall flat to other brands in every other aspect.
