They’re so insecure, the whole lot of them. I don’t hate fat people; I don’t want to be fat. I don’t want to be blind, I don’t want to be an alcoholic, I don’t want to be homeless, or a man, or paralyzed in a wheelchair either. Saying you don’t want to live a certain way doesn’t mean you hate others.
@babymama4067 ай бұрын
Exactly. Not wanting to be someone doesn’t mean you hate them. I LOVE being a mother to my children. I don’t want to be a father, but I definitely don’t hate my husband. I don’t want to be a man but I definitely don’t hate men. It’s such a weird thing to think. Also, that one girl who was saying “if you knew for sure you’d be healthier mentally and physically and it was the ideal way for your body to function, would you gain 70 lbs?” I immediately thought yes. If that was the ideal way for my body to function, I would absolutely gain and maintain that weight. I’m not afraid of looking fat, I’m afraid of all the health complications and the fact that there have been endless studies about how it’s NOT healthy for your mind or body. I think all this cope comes from addiction. They’re addicted to food and that makes them do all sorts of mental gymnastics to make themselves feel okay with that. It’s the same with any other addiction. People lie, tell themselves lies, and cope endlessly so they don’t have to face and confront their addictions. As someone serious addicted to caffeine, I understand. Even though it gives me bad indigestion, can give me anxiety or sometimes panic attacks, and sometimes migraines, I still find myself making excuses for why it’s not that bad. That’s what addiction does. It makes you make excuses to others and yourself.

4:45 damn, a dreamer bulk AND perfect health? That would be astounding. I do love playing pretend. But in the real world when i was 50lbs heavier than i am right now i was having heart problems that went away completely after i lost the weight.
@laurenmelissa69887 ай бұрын
4:56 so I gained 20 lbs during university and am half way through dropping that weight...used to be able to run well and keep up in my soccer games before the weigth gain. That reason [among more important ones] is why I wanted to lose weight. The weight was weighing me down funnily enough lmao very freeing when you lose weight in a healthy way. It is slow but worth it because I can tell you that the state of everything health-wise in fact goes DOWNHILL with 20lbs of weight gain. If you reach 70lbs...bless your heart bc it is working overtime.

I don't hate any of them. In time, many of them might see through the foolishness of this ideology. Being fit, rather than just "thin", is absolutely worth the pain of achievement. Only you will be guaranteed to be there at the summit of your success.

they can say whatever but saying body positivity isn't for everyone is so wrong. Everyone has their body struggles whether you see it or not. 1:13 girl preference is bias, people are allowed to have opinions deal with it. These people are just deeply insecure and when their community dies from their obesity they ignore it because they have nothing to say that makes them look good.

@margaretcaine42194 ай бұрын
No, I think the smugness is an act, just trying to convince themselves. They know they'll never convince us. Also, many of these self styled "influencers" make a very healthy ( the only part of their lives that is healthy) living from their videos. The JaeBae person has enough "followers" to be able to afford to spend a lot of time on airplanes swanning around with a camera.

0:13 body positivity is not for primarily overweight people, it's for people with any kind of difference or "imperfection" in appearance, i.e. burn victims fat acceptance is the one she's thinking of, which is literally as the name suggests, and was made by a man for his wife, as well as black women

1:32 I truly hate when they use this era as the fatphobic one, as if other periods were okay with it. when they say that ancient greeks preferred fat women or that the beauty standard in the middle age was fat. just go look at statues, Aphrodite has belly rolls, but they aren't as big as their's. they were normal bodies tending to the chubby side (in Italy we say "in carne", like saying that you actually have meat attached to the bones). they are using something that was never true from the start. I study archaeology and this is something that really makes me kinda mad

I'm so sick of seeing this ish...im 50 yrs old, and there was NOT the obesity when I was a child in the late 70s/80s like there is now. Our food is making us sick and unhealthy, and ur body may be able to handle the weight while u are young, give it time....and u will have major life hindering issues when u r older

New flash it's not internal fatphobia when we don't want to gain 70 pounds to be perfect at everything physically mentally everything perfect you guys are all talking about how we need to accept ourselves the way we are so then when we agree with you and accept ourselves the way we are and then you turn it around and get mad at us when we say we don't want to change and now you're saying we have internal fatphobia I don't think it's us that needs to work on it I think it's you that needs to work on your argument

Saying you aren’t attracted to morbidly obese or even overweight people does not mean you are villainizing them or shaming them, that’s like telling someone who is allergic to or doesn’t like dairy/meat/certain foods to eat those things and “get over it” essentially
@rowan48036 ай бұрын
I also have a very close friend who happens to be obese, she is hands down one of the hardest working, cleanest, most generous people I have ever known, I would never villainize her or see her as lazy or disgusting

I wont deny it, im fat, but at least i dont shame other people's appearance just because im insecure. It may not be much, but I am trying to be the best that I can be. The things that matter to me the most right now are grades and being a good person. About a year and a half ago, I used to stuff my face with two large bags of chips and I thought it was okay because i at least got an hour of exercise everyday. But I would gain more weight than i would lose. Then I quit eating chips, only eating them occasionally like two small bags every 2-3 months and ive felt better. I dont excercise as much as i used to which is bad, but I stretch a lot more now. I realized that ive developed an ED because somedays i get the urge to eat a lot due to a large appetite, but then i would get disgusted with food for weeks, being even more picky with what i eat. And sometimes i dont want to eat at all. Maybe the depression, or anxiety may be a cause to it, but i must not blame it entirely. I must blame myself for not trying as much to be the best that i can be. Thank you if you read through this, and remember that youre the only one responsible for your choices and you should not blame others for your insecurities nor shame them.

It’s so crazy how these people can do this… the human body was not made for over abundance. When I eat a whole donut I feel sick to my stomach for hours, obviously because it’s very sugary and unhealthy, but these women can stuff down way more than that. It is also so depressing that they rob themselves of the joy of exercise. It’s so fun to push yourself and watch as you get stronger. No amount of lying around and eating can replace that. Edit: They also are constantly discrediting the feelings of non-fat people… I still feel insecure and big even though I’m a size 0/XXS. I starved myself for 3 months and I’m still trying to recover mentally from the stress. Why do they deserve respect if they don’t treat others the same way?
