Fat bike with electric motor goes up a hill without pedaling

I have a stealth 1000 watt bike, it not only takes me up virtually ANY hill it does so carrying my 16 stone AND all my heavy shopping jammed into my 2 side carriers, I should peddle more but I'm spoiled with the throttle, I live in a very hilly place and it carries me up without peddling at around 15 MPH, that is up a steep hill. On normal roads I have not got it up to max speed because at 35 mph I chicken out lol, it's crazy to do anymore on roads where motorists are trying to kill you everyday. At 64 and with tummy problems that effect my lung capacity and I couldn't get up the hills anymore but this bike changed my life, I use it everywhere I go now. I think the more or less constant throttle is effecting my battery because the range has come down quite a bit and even though the battery is £500 I dont care, I will get a new one, I cant work at this time so Im not well off but honestly, the pleasure is worth every penny

Honest video thank you very much! Be careful watching these other videos where they these bikes can't climb!!!! They so can! I was duped by other youtubers who make them look like garbage. Just don't listen to anyone when they say 750watt bike can't climb. Even a big big guy can pedal and make up a steep incline.

The brakes on this bike sound terrible in this video. I did some research and it seems this is normal on these bikes. Perhaps that's why the video ended as you where braking at the end?

I talked to the BLM in Idaho and they told me once you put that battery on their it is considered a motorized vehicle when it comes to trail restrictions. Have you guys researched this? I have been told many different things but the majority of retailers that sell these have no idea.

It is still a bicycle in Minnesota if the motor wattage is less that 1000. That is the best answer I can come up with. I'm sure states vary by each state and county

Ok from what I have gathered for Idaho if you can ride the bike without peddling it is considered motorized. Good to know for any Idahoans thinking about buying one. I just found out that my knee is ffffffed up and true mountain biking and hiking are in my past. Was really wanting one of these but it is what it is.

I don't think a 750W bike would exceed the 2 brake hp (~ 1500W) Idaho limit mentioned in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_bicycle_laws#United_States. However, it appears you still need a class D license & liability insurance.
