I want to put this in perspective as well. A Colt 1911 handgun holds 8 rounds in it. Dan Daly used three grenades to take out a machine gun, he then killed a German officer by shooting him with the Colt 1911 and then took 14 Germans prisoner with that 1911. He took at least twice as many men prisoner than he had bullets in his gun.

If I had a nickel for every time the United States fought a war against a bunch of fanatics who believed they were immune to bullets. I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. The Boxer Rebellion covered in today's video was one of them. The other was the Red River War in 1874. Where a Comanche Medicine Man named Quenatosavit "White Eagle" convinced the Comanche, the Kiowa, the Southern Cheyenne and the Arapaho that he knew a spell that would make them impervious to the white man's bullets. Then proceeded to lead them to war against the United States. That did not end well, as you can imagine. The Cheyenne had broken a treaty with the US based on Quenatosavit's promise. Beat the shit out of him and declared henceforth that he would be known as Isatai'i, which roughly translates to "Coyote or Wolf Vagina," which the Newspapers translated as "Coyote or Wolf Tail" since you can't use that word in polite company.
