Man, I really miss Comic Book Men. It was the only show I ever watched that I could relate to on a real personal level. You don't get reality television that embraces comic book culture. It was truly one of a kind.

My list for Marvel actors for DC roles: Chris Evans-Superman Paul Rudd-The Riddler Benedict Cumberbatch-Ras al Ghul Cobie Smulders-Wonder Woman Don Cheadle-Joker Sam Jackson-James Gordon Scarlet Johansson-Zatanna
@jongarzamx4 жыл бұрын
I can totally imagine Don Cheadle as Joker, that actor has an amazing funny-menacing duality going on, I would love another creepy-funny Joker, in my opinion it's a part of the character that worked great for Jack Nicholson and hasn't been explored since then.

Jon Garza Benedict Cumberbatch as a villain is a great idea too. Like with his Smaug, Khan, and Dormammu, he proves he can play a great villain with his voice

Not sure if I'm tired or emotional from being 4 weeks into UK lock down but damn I teared up a bit watching Jim and seeing just how much he cares about comics and keeping the industry alive. Also hearing that even someone who's that good struggles with different styles is kinda funny. Like you wouldn't expect him to have trouble with animals because of anatomy. Also sweet summer child he must know the next person is going to request Krypto now.

My first comic book store was a friend, Brandon David, from St Georges College in Trinidad. He knew more about comics than any of us, and would hold court in the free periods regaling us with tales of the X Men and batman. Sometimes, he would bring his new books to class and share them with the class. It's where I started to love printed comics, not just the TV cartoons. The next book store was this little place on Duke St in Port of Spain. It had new and out of print books. It was hard buying books when I was in school, spending almost all my money and settling on riding the bus home with the small change I didn't spend (sometimes I would walk home) When I started working, every month end I would drop a hundred or so on new and interesting titles. It was there I found books like Scout and Sable and the entire X-Factor first two year run. It closed severral years ago, and I never found a store like that again in Trinidad. I miss it.

Johnny Knoxville I could see as Stan Lee... at all ages also, he’s done the “old man” thing a bunch.. he has the energy and can throw on similar voice.. he’s a decent actor who could break out as a high level actor in a flick like that. I think he’d kill it.

Chris Hemsworth as Aquaman Idris Elba as Green Lantern Zendaya as Catwoman Anthony Mackie as Cyborg
@Jack-rk7jc4 жыл бұрын
Idk if Zendaya is sexy enough for catwoman. She's attractive, but it's more beautiful than sexy, imo. That's why I can't wait to see Zoe Kravitz as catwoman Also I think I'd rather see Mackie as Green lantern, and Michael B Jordan as Cyborg. I like Idris Elba but I like Mackie more lol And Momoa was perfect as aquaman for me. I also like that a polynesian dude is playing a character so connected to the ocean, as polynesian culture was basically built around the ocean and their mythology around aquatic life. Just to start a conversation about casting lol I'm not trying to tell you why or why not your list would work or not. This is all just my take, and I wouldn't mind reading more fan casting

I always loved jim lee’s work growing up. Had an opportunity to briefly meet him at a comic signing in a small comic shop before a Chicago comic con, and I’m sorry to say, he was a real jerk. It was set up like an assembly line, it was very fast and had time to get the books signed and so hello, and move on. After he signed my books, 3 I think, he told me to not hold them together to not smear the ink. I said ok. As I moved down to the valiant creators he apparently thought I as holding the books still to close and I showed him how they weren’t touching each other, and he had this look of disgust on his face, the guy he was currently signing at that time was the friend I went with, and he asked my friend if I was from a different country, to which my friend teased me for days that one of me heroes called me stupid. Thanks Jim. The thing I never got about that comment was, Jim was born in the Philippines, and the “born in another country” comment seemed a bit odd. Does that make him and anyone born outside the country dumb? I never bought another Jim lee comic again, until he did his Batman run. Lol. That was too good, but I always thought he was a big jerk for that.
