It's not obesity, It's the laziness

Maybe food manufacturers shouldn't be allowed to sell food that's full of chemicals and go back to more basic food stuffs. I'm sure the mass availability of processed food isn't helping. Weighing/measuring people and fining them isn't go to do much, but making sure food they're eating is healthier is surely going to make a big difference.

We’re does he get £33 billion from easy search 👀 how much does obesity cost the nhs it’s £6.5 billion, so a tax on fast food to cover the cost could be the answer 😊

That is so ridiculous. You want to control every aspect of their lives. Its not dangerous to you if im fat, in fact your wanting to control every aspect of people's lives is whats stressing people out so they eat!!! Its the last thing they have that gives them any pleasure. You know what else is bad for a person? Growing old. People need freedom to do and say what they want. People want and need freedom in order to thrive. Period.

That's fine if people choose to be unhealthy and obese, but why other people should pay for these choices? If there is evidence that obesity leads to serious medical conditions and the obesity is in most cases a choice, then obese people should pay increased NHS fees for their choice and liberty. Similarly with work, they can take unpaid leave and pay out of pocket for the choices they make in relation to their life and body. I'm not sure why the taxpayer should cover all these extra expenses. Be as free as you want, but please pay for it yourself and don't expect others to cover the cost.

Are you allowed to say fat is bad? The `fat positivity’ movement doesn’t believe you should. How did we get into this position in the first place? Fast food was at one point a treat, not a regular occurrence, but is that the only reason? In the 1970’s less than 10% of the population was overweight, in 2000 less than 20%. In 2020 OVER 63% are overweight. While the images keep showing white people, black people have a slightly higher percentage, which means what is happening is common to all of us. This points to food and water, while there are fewer chemicals in British and European foods than there are in America, along with less sugar & salt, don’t they both contain GMOs? Also we’ve been peeing birth control medication into the water supply since the 1960’s, it isn’t filtered out, could this have an effect?

If you don't like fat people, why bully them to make them fatter?

@@laura-bianca3130 I didn’t say I don’t like fat people. I just called them lazy. I’m not fat. I’m also NOT lazy and don’t overeat. What’s your point?

@@fazertace6837 my point is that you and people like you are responsible that people are fat. As easy as that. People overeat because they are abused and/or bullied. It's not a lazy issue, but a bully issue. And then of course at a certain weight you physically are less likely to be able to move. Even if you did move - the eating is the issue. A fat person can do all sorts of sports and not lose weight until the food is regulated. And bullies cause overeating. Instead of these nasty comments, motivate them. They'll actually lose the weight 🤷🏻‍♀️
