As a gay men people find weird that I'm only attracted to stocky/fat men, specially since I'm considered fit by themselves. I call it hypocrisy since they're all about "equality and acceptance", but ONLY during "pride".

I tried to fit in a bear community although I don't have a bear body but attracted to bear men. And I had somehow the same rejection as they described but coming from bears... It's like in such group they mainly date with members of their group. Probably personal experience, but fitting in a group in general is hard.

As a fat, short, queer trans guy, I thought nobody would ever find me desirable and I struggled with that feeling for years. I have a lovely partner now who loves me exactly as I am, but it's still a feeling that sticks with me. Fatphobia within the gay/mlm community is a real thing, and it can ruin people's lives.

I was 334lbs lost 114 recently got all the was down to 220 and I felt comfortable in my skin enough to start dating and chilling with guys. Now I'm a changed person. I feel like I will never want to love a man because I have seen the worst of them and I have seen the best of them with the worst intentions. As of today I feel more asexual and non binary because of this experience. I've never been made to feel so shamed because of my extra weight and I'm still losing it so what happens when I lose the rest will they hate me because I'm black? I don't fat shame or looks-shame but wonder if you heavy set guys have ever considered that one of the traits some of us look for in a man is "good health". Sorry, but I have mixed feelings about committing to a partner who is likely to have serious health issues by the time he's 50. I don't want to get married to a man who is a high risk for heart attacks and strokes and I just end up being a caregiver (potentially for years). There is a practical reason why some of us will not pursue obese men as partners. One of my longest term sex-regs is a bearish and overweight man. He recently told me he is diabetic. Sex? Fine. LTR? Hmmm....
