Donna and Gulam Moonda are the envy of many. She's an all-American girl and he's a wealthy doctor more than twenty years her senior. Their romance thrives, until a mystery gunman blows away the facade of perfection.

Her friend Saying just because she had an affair with him doesn’t mean she helped him kill her husband is one of the stupidest things I’ve heard in awhile. Donna's friends admitted that they didn't know many cruetial aspects about their friend, so how can they be so sure she wasn't the mastermind behind the sencless murder.. How would Damien know where, when to ambush the doctor if Donna didn't advise it. They are both selfish evil crooks and the doctor didn't deserve such a cruel ending.

Donna is obviously going to cry innocent to her friends . All Guilty people do . Her problem , which is the same for all these types of cases is , she didn't expect to get caught . Once her Life changed to being a drug addict , and a Sex addict , her goals also changed . She no longer wanted a life with her Doctor Husband . She wanted Money , Drugs , Sex , and the Financial freedom to live that Life . The Doctor saw this happening , asked for a Divorce Settlement , and that Sealed the Doctors fate . At least now , She can have all the Sex she wants to have in the place she belongs , Prison.

As a nurse I spent many shifts working in a rehab and I can legit assure you that every patient I took care of was in fact very human, with feelings, hopes, regrets, AND a fully intact conscience. Don't be the asshole in the crowd, it's a bad look. Maybe read a book, use Google, watch some KZbin videos from recovering addicts. Open your mind before it completely closes and you end up losing your conscience and end up in jail or a psych facility. I get bad vibes from you. You should fix that.

4:00 Typically, it's women who grew up WITHOUT having their dads around who end up dating old men or men who are old enough to be their fathers. It's a distorted attempt to seek the fatherly approval and affection that they were denied from their actual fathers. By contrast, women who grow up up in traditional families with both parents (and good fathers) are confident and tend to have healthy relationships with men their own age.

I disagree with you. I married a man 18 years my senior. I was a professional singer and model. I grew up very poor, but thanks to God, I was successful at a young age. I was not one to date very much, but I had many suitors, but the only one that caught my eye was the man I married. He wasn’t wealthy, but he was kind, patient, loving, honest, and very attractive. My falling in love with him had nothing to do with my relationship with my daddy. Not every woman who marries an older man has daddy issues.

It's a reality of life, unfortunately. You put a bunch of like-minded people who suffer from self-indulging tendencies in a room together, get them all talking and opening up to each other, it is very likely that some people in the group are going to hook up. Also, those types of self-help groups are known preying grounds for predators who are looking for new people to get their narcissistic supply from. There are countless stories of spouses who send their other half to rehab in a desperate attempt to save their family only to have their spouse cheat on them with another addict in their group.

I think the one woman psychologist said it all… they were just two drug addicts trying to get whatever they could for individual reasons and neither one was in total control of the other. Opportunistic behavior from both drug addicts. Both of them we’re responsible for that crime.

22:18 Depressed people won't "let you" help them. They are sick and isolation is part of that sickness. It is upon you as a close friend or family to be there for them, not them to let you in because they cannot. They are not in control... I wish people could do more to be there for people undergoing tough times than just blame them or think they have such a strong will power, because they don't have it as much as we think they do.

Thank you so much for your comment. That is exactly how it is and exactly what I thought when Donna's friend said that. I was always left alone in the hole by my so called "friends" when I could not pick up the phone. Even after I had told them how things are. "oh she would not let us help her" what a good excuse, haha. I am not blaming anyone for not understanding depressed people but I am blaming "friends" not for not even trying to know how things with depressed people are. There are enough books and articles on depression. Information is available.

The community they lived in has such busybodies. It was not the age difference. It was the money. That a foreigner has all that money and took the village beauty right from under their noses. I see so many cases of young girls marrying older men but none is disected they way they did this. It's the cultural differences that had everyone's pants in a twist. And a Muslim to boot! They painted her as a nice bubbly girl and him as an older cradle snatcher. She later turns into what she was all along. A drug addict and a gold digger. Jail is good for her.

She’s completely wrong for what she did. She deserves everything she got with the bull crap of somebody sitting there, saying that he came from nothing and she got him to do this because he didn’t have money. Well, guess what the city I came from we grew up in the ghetto, and you know what I still have never thought about murdering somebody for money or so to play that card to me as a joke it’s just an excuse there’s thousands upon thousands of people that I’ve grown up with nothing and have never thought about murdering somebody for money. He made a deal and as soon as he knew what he was looking at it was, let’s talk let’s get the best deal for me which so many people do that crap but reality is people need to start looking at it like this, he was all good and well to do it, but look at how long it took him to talk all because he thought he was gonna be living the highlife because he thought he was still going to get that $75,000 a month that she had already been given them when they were sleeping together with her husband was alive. I don’t feel sorry for either one of them. And for people to say she was the devil oh you’re right she was but so the heck was he anybody that sells drugs and kills other people it’s just part of the devil just the same as what she did cause I’ll tell you drugs kill people just as well as the way, he killed her husband. The two of them deserve to rot and never see the light of day again. And I agree not everybody always has something to do with it just because they have an affair, but if there is proof, and guess what she deserves to be in hell just like he does. The only two people that truly know what was going on are those two and will never know the actual truth nobody will everybody can speculate and feel they know the truth but none of us really truly know, except those two. And yes, this is my opinion and how I feel before people come at me. I’m disgusted that they gave him a deal of 17 years so the next time somebody gets murdered by him everyone knows who to blame.

The only person she had close washer father and after he passed she could not cope. She knew she was only a token to her old and ugly husband. Men like this go for young girls so they can control their whole life and own their personalities. Not shocked she became a drug user and had back pain....what a sad marriage she got into.

I think the psychologists are way off on their analysis of Donna, her motivations through this whole thing. They dated for 12 years, she loved her husband initially, he began having numerous affairs, hurting her terribly. She became an addict and that changed her for a time. I believe she fell in love with this 22-year-old lothario, and ladies' man. He just saw money and sex. I think he talked her into it, all the way. I don't believe she was sociopath; I believe he manipulated her. Regardless she needs to pay for what she did. Just because your ex-husband manipulates and controls you, and cheats with numerous women; you don't have the right to kill him. This one the psychologists are way off through this whole thing. If you don't think a 22-year drug dealer, with his looks, couldn't manipulate a woman just because she's older; it's because you don't know many guys like him. A sweet talking, Charming, womanizer. A game player. Look how he manipulated his girlfriend to back him up? Her age and this low point in her life would just make her more vulnerable. Sadly, a wonderful Dr lost his life, and these two will both end up in prison, where they belong. He did not get nearly enough time in prison! Rest in peace Gulam. A good man, a good friend and less than stellar husband. But a good human being from.

1978- Pennsylvania USA- Donna and Dr Gulam Moonda loves each other despite Dr Moonda is in his forties and Donna is still twenty years old. Dr Gulam was showering Donna with presents including cars on her driveway. After 12 years together, the couple married in 1991 when Donna was 31 and Gulam is 55. Dr Gulam is an Indian Muslim and he gave large donations to Mosques and other charities. There were rumours that Dr Gulam is having other women on the side. Donna wanted children but Gulam did not want children. The couple was slowly drifting apart. In 1998, Donna’s father died and she was very close to her father and Donna was lonely and Gulam was rarely home. Donna fell into depression and had an addiction to pain killers and drugs. Donna is now 44 and had trouble with the law and she was fired from her job for stealing drugs. Donna met a young man named Damian Bradford in rehab. Donna and Damien a black man also a drug dealer started an affair. In 2005 tragedy struck. Shooters shot Gulam Moonda dead. Donna likes rich older black Muslim men or young black drug dealers over other men. Justice was served in 2007.

Sounds like a piece of work too and they all thought he was "delightful" because he threw money around. They didn't see any signs of marital strife? The doctor cheating would be a sign. So you just decided to assume he wasn't a good husband behind closed doors?? Like she was happy until her father died. She started stealing from her work, using drugs and finally got fired from work. Tell me what husband wouldn't have a problem with that?? But that's not the point. The point is the man was killed in cold blood. Don't matter what kind of human being he was.

She’s not a sociopath, she was a smart woman who fell victim to drug addiction and easily manipulated. I know personally how you can connect in rehab, feeling close to someone who has been going through the same physical changes as you, you are filled with so many more emotions when you’re getting sober. With that being said, We never really know what goes on behind closed doors, in people’s personal relationships. Regardless of who’s guilty or not, a man lost his life for no reason, and that is really heartbreaking. Noones perfect, and I feel sad for the families, especially Donna’s mother who had to witness such a life changing event.
