The hard part is how much damage he does if you don't break the head. Using the cannon knockdown at the start and shooting the roaming ballista at his face should be enough to get it though. He deals a lot of damage but all of his attacks have obvious tells so once you learn the fight you'll be fine.

@@esteban4005 Yeah that's a rough one, when he puts his head down you have to run to his chest on the other side ard you'll be safe. I think clutch clawing to his front legs also works. You only have to break his head once to stop the blue fire, a lot of people bring temporal and rocksteady mantle so they can soften the head and go for wallbangs. Wallbangs may not knock him over but they do a ton of damage to the face.

Nuts! Clean run! Managed to cheat my way beating Ah Fat yesterday. Play with 3 friends and i got disconnected at last 10+% hp. I went back camp change palico set and cat did the meow meow. Yeah, i got 2pcs Ah Fat armor before beating it (Pluderblades FTW). Still no eye stolen yet.
