From a lore standpoint, Both Dragons were considered Gods at some point, Shara was believed to have been one of the dragons who created the world while Fatalis is the one who shall destroy it. However he already took down the Saphire Star Dragon, Safi'Jiiva and seeks to destroy the other dragon gods. while Nergigante and the Hunters balances the world out.

Technically all Elder Dragons are considered "gods" to the legends. Something more than a wild monster, pure incarnations of nature itself. Monsters who do not adapt to their environment, but who instead forces the environment and climate to adapt to them, molding the very nature around them. And fatalis is the top dog of all Elder Dragons. The White Fatalis being considered the "ancestral elder dragon", the first elder dragon to exist (unless it's been retconned, but that was at least the idea back in the older games)

Crunched the numbers on Fatalis's Dragon Hellfire wave attack that melted through Shara Ishvalda's HP. Did *6950 TOTAL DAMAGE* overall to the Old Everwyrm. That thing is absolutely nuts, over a 3rd the strength of the un-nerfed 1st Kingdom Raze transition supernova.

The thing I love about MHW is that the monsters feel like real animals, they fight other creatures and also run away when they get hurt. Hell, they even go back their nest and try to sleep it off. If you don't get a head break, Fatalis is fully powered. Any of his flame attacks can then oneshot you, even with 1,200+ defense and Divine Blessing 5 while wearing Rocksteady.

@Noah Garcia We know a lot people wanted to see how Fatalis would do without the flame nova, so instead of removing it outright we just nerfed it. It turns out Fatalis still wins, thanks to the flame cone attack. The next fight will be much more unpredictable I think.

@@RenegadeStriker7 To be fair, Fatalis's lore pre-iceborne was pretty much all hearsay. Despite being a first gen monster, Iceborne was really the first step in giving Fatalis... Well, everything. Before Iceborne, he was a frustrating fight of janky hitboxes and an entire moveset of boring OHKOs. Quite literally all he had then was his "implied" lore, which even then wasn't concrete. Iceborne made steps to validate the lore, but even then, Fatalis still seems less interesting than many other high level threats like Alatreon.

Its really interesting seeing these two fight. Shara is made to fight in this arena. It has attacks to hit things close to it, attacks to keep hunters at bay, and attacks to hit hunters at the edges. Fatalis on the other hand, has a lot of "keep hunters at bay" moves, and not a whole lot of range attacks. Given how youre expected to fight them it makes sense, and its cool to see from a birds eye view

Tbh he only won by spamming his super duper fire breath which cover a large zone. This attack can be considérés a nova even tho it's technically not. While Shara did his Nova only once

A great video as always but I want to give my opinion of the fight: Very good and balanced, well balanced until phase 2 of fatalis that begins to humiliate Shara, it is that fatalis is very OP, too much I would say, that is, Shara's Genkidama was totally insignificant, more damage was done by the normal attacks of Fatalis and I only managed to knock him out and incidentally he only did it once and fatally he made his flare as times, fatalis I know he is the dragon of destruction and everything but those attacks do absurdly high damage, I say his fireball does literally more damage that an elemental supernova (that comes from another black dragon) in short it is only a video it is not as if this really affected something I look forward to the next fight that will surely be more fair👍

I mean it is fatalis afterall . The strongest Monster in the series which even makes Stuff like Lao shan run away from him by Just beeing around . So i think it kinda makes Sense that He Just overpowers and oneshots every creature by a Mile (besides maybe alatreon in fire Mode because He would be Close to immune to fatalis fire damage )

That amazing is that Capcom never made these monsters to fight against each other yet they made sure that Monsters progressively get harder and better. Which makes Fatalis the ultimate end tier Monster no other monster can beat.

I thought of a fight that i think would be really cool Gold Rathian, Pink Rathian, Rathian, Rathalos, Azure Rathalos and Silver Rathalos vs AT Ruiner. I dont know if a fight with this many monsters would work but it would be a cool fight if it did.
