I have Yamaha fzs 2011 model. Recently having disk jamming probelm after 8 long years. I learnt how to assemble & dissamble disk brakes of my motorcycle including master cylinder assembly and brake pistons..brake fluid bleeding, making the air out and all. trying to.understand its mechanism. Hydraulic disk brakes are fun until you need to change the oil every 6 months. You need a bleeding kit which removes air bubbles from your hydraulic kit. This kit costs 3,000 rs. After this u need hydraulic fluid and each brand of fluid has its own oil. So all of that causes a lot of headache.

In case of rim brakes ,I tighten and adjust them everyday just with my hands.They are cheap.If the brake shoes of rim brks are changed every year they work at the point at every press.It depends upon the amount of force we apply.We cant stoppie on the bike with rim brakes.

He did on his fat bike you just replace the mechanical disc brake with hydraulic brakes you might need new adapters you can usually use the old rotors if their straight or not warnout
