Indeed, ladders and I just don't seem to get along at all...haven't met one yet that has been unsuccessful in bucking me off! lol I've got a hedge that needs pruning badly...not sure what I will eventually end up doing. Gotta get yourself one of those long handled hedge trimmers. But until then, it may be good to get the wrist at least look at. These are the kinds of things that scare me about living alone. Heal up quickly my friend!

I had a similar injury to my wrist, fell off my motorcycle going around a roundabout!! I ended up with a hairline fracture to my wrist, just healed itself with no surgery required. Maybe a compression bandage over the wrist will be wise until the swelling subsides.

As The Fox was scouring the forest floor for food, he took notice of The Bear, who was also brambling around looking for food, and that The Bear had just the kind of long fluffy tail The Fox desired. The Bear then noticed The Fox and gave chase. But The Fox, ever nimble and wry, gave The Bear a playful runaround while taunting The Bear, "you'll never catch me, for I am The Fox and far too quick on my feet for your size, but I have a offer for you", said The Fox. "Let us have a race tomorrow, and if you win The Race I will give you my flashy speed so that you can catch your food. But if I win, I want your fluffy tail. Choose where you want to race", said The Fox. The Bear, wanting this speed, knew he couldn't win in an open field, so he chose to race The Fox through the thickest of the forest hedges and brambles, knowing that he could push through the bramble and thickets whilst The Fox would become entangled in it. The Fox agreed. That night, The Fox snuck to The Race course and burrowed out a tunnel from the beginning of the thickets to the end of The Race course. And in the morning, all the forest animals gathered to watch The Race between The Fox and The Bear. And when The Race started, the Bear quickly smashed through the forest brambles in a fast lead, but the ever crafty Fox dived into his tunnel and swiftly scurried underneath the forest floor to the finish line first while The Bear was still breaking his way through the thickets. The Bear honored his word and gave his tail to The Fox in front of all the animals and the Fox gave The Bear his stubby brown tail. That is why we say "sly as a fox", because that crafty little Fox pulled one over on The Bear-TWICE! It is also a reason why you will still see today that The Bear will chase after The Fox at any given chance, because he wants his tail back, lol! 🏁🦊🐻 This is a 40+ year old memory passed on to me by my elders, whom sadly, I seem to forget with each passing year. Of course it makes sense that a little fox can be sly against a much bigger bear. But bears can be cunning too ! There is an old tale.. (well more of a joke really) about a bear that was taking a dump in the forest. A rabbit hops up and says 'Hey Bear !.. what are you doing ?' ..and the bear replies ''Can't you see I am taking a dump !??!!'' ..so the little rabbit is about to leave when the bear says '' Oh hey little rabbit !.. do you find that the shit sticks to your fur ??!!'' ..and the little rabbit says 'Oh yes bear.. all the time !!' So the bear grabs the rabbit and wipes his backside with it !! 😂🤣 I am sorry to be so crude.. but I always remember this tale as my Uncle Joe told it to me when I was a tiny child and it made me laugh so !!
