What I'd like to see them do that can semi work / meet halfway , put it on the switch , sell the gatcha as card packs (like youd get pokemon tcg , yugioh , etc) and have them function as amiibo, maybe take the time limit off and have an initial cost for the game (like a cheap game basically) , itd be an interesting experiment imo , tho how many would feel the same would vary.

Nah. Theres a difference btwn the two. Fate/Extella wasnt based on a gacha but was based on a dynasty warriors type of play style. So theres no need to have an NP upgrade or have to buy servants cuz theyre all already within the game. FGO on the otherhand is based on a gacha but was given arena style combat, so there is a constant need to buy currency.

The port of FGO Arcade is working same as Extella, relying on DLCs and you maybe only need in-game money to roll "fake gacha" SSR servants instead of real micro-transaction.

Game should come to Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, being timed and having people watch you does not sound like fun at all. And the fact that I can't play with the servants on my phone already is just a big drag, now they're really just trying to milk you dry of all of your money. I already got these servants on my phone, shouldn't have to get them again on an Arcade machine. Should be able just to sync your phone up to Arcade or just make it a Console/PC game.

Arcade games are placed in public game centers there. One does not queue alone there of course. Many others would also like to play. And many arcade games are generally "timed" games. The limit is there to give the others a fair chance to play the game.

damn, I wish I could have played this when I visited japan. my trip was in july so I saw people playing on day 1 but I just didn't have the time to wait and try to figure it out but now i'm kinda bum'd out that I didn't get one of those gatcha cards. I hope to go back one day so maybe Ill be able to try it out or maybe they'll bring it over here in the US. but I still love this mash plush I got from a claw game in like 3 tries.

The game's target audience is people "in" Japan, not worldwide. If it was a worldwide release, I would argue you're right over the console ports. Since this is just released in Japan, gotta go with what your potential consumers enjoy the most, and since the Arcades are damn popular in Japan, you can kinda understand why this game is just a Japanese only arcade game. If anything, you should blame the developers of this game for not wanting to release it worldwide (specially since the Fate franchise has a strong fanbase worldwide)

Looks great. I can see it's aimed at Japanese and not for other countries, many foreigners will have a hard time understanding arcade games after all. And people with anxiety might worry of being watched, and there are people like me who doesn't like P2W games with PVP option (though the cards look cool). BUT HEY! Having to farm in an arcade game and pay to perform item management like in the original is... god, that's just terrible. That's really the only major turnoff with this version of the game overall - the 3D units, the similarities of combat, etc. is just super cool, and having a PVP mode is great. But no one goes to an arcade to play a fun game only to have to perform item and level management, and unbalanced whales who spend all day farming are naturally going to have an advantage against a player who only casually plays the arcade game. Seems like a huge waste of potential.

Yes and no, the arcade gives you the chance to print a card for 100 yen, but you have your servants and craft essences in the key card that works with the arcade; print the cards it's just an option
