Eh, for my last fighter 30+ athletic checks were common so a lot of situations were actually me telling the DM the creature needs to make a DC 30+ check to avoid being grappled. DM response was usually "well they tried"

We should make a poll to determine who's the lucky one to get absolutely smoked by the dragon's breath weapon on the first round of combat. My pick is Wrath, since he has low HP and no way to survive that lol. Wilhelm is immune to poison, while Kyle's character is resistant to it. The other three are very tough, so they'll manage (?)

I would argue that a deal made under duress is not a willing deal. I think it lays in the area of forced confessions. I guess Trethessia sees that diffently. I mean she is a dragon. So it makes sense. 😂

I’ve watched random episodes of dungeon dudes for years of D&D advice and happened to find an episode of Drakkenheim. Decided to watch from the start. Just a few short weeks/month? Later. Hello up to date-people! I just finished the first campaign, Dungeons of Drakkenheim (btw, wow, such good DMing and playing!). Question: Is it a must to see Shadows of Drakkenheim before watching Fate of Drakkenheim? Would appreciate any opinions, since I cant find any info on this online and would like to skip the Shadows-campaign to save time if it is possible/recommended :) Thanks!

It’s pretty important to watch them all. I know we are the creators but hear me out. Skipping shadows would be like skipping empire strikes back between a new hope and return of the Jedi. The second season does start a little slow with three new characters who are outside of Drakkenheim and not fully aware of the original party. However, they quickly find themselves entangled in the plots and consequences set in motion by the first campaign and set up a lot of new threads that combine and contest those of the first season, eventually merging into one ongoing story that continues in fate of drakkenheim. If you skip directly to fate you will miss everything that makes the other three main characters integral to the overall plot, and everything all 6 characters go through to come together as a united force. As well you would miss the introduction of several valuable NPCs and locations, as well as a few important villains who now pose the ultimate threats as we near the end game. We worked hard to make each season feel build off the last and the three seasons form a trilogy. We are aware it’s a lot of content, but it is nearing its final arcs, and we are very proud of the story we’ve told.

I’ve watched from start to this point. I loved the first campaign so much, it took me a bit to like shadows. However, by the end of shadows, I felt like I needed more 😂. And now with fate, we get both groups, mixed, and KYLE gets to play. A couple episodes ago I was utterly SHOCKED that he got to play while Kelly worked the camera. And NOW… We get all 5 characters PLUS Kyle’s character at the SAME TIME!

Been watching since the first campaign great adventures and such fun. Can I get some clarity on a rule, if you dominate a monster and another enemy does an aoe attack does the dominated monster take damage is it is under your control ?

I'm really curious why your group uses the term "based." Did you all pick it up from previous mini based games like WHFB? That's the only place I've heard it before. Do other people in your part of the country say "based" a lot for this? In TTRPGs I'm used to hearing people say "are you next to that enemy" or "are you adjacent to that enemy" or "within 5 feet."

I know you're just using RAW, based on a Giant Eagle's Combat Speed of 80 ft... but Migratory Birds average speeds of 15 to 55 mph, and can cover over 600 miles in a day... Kind of wish D&D rules reflected that fact *at All*... Personally, I rule that winged flight has an Overland Travel speed 5x faster than their Combat Speed would suggest. (40 mph for a Giant Eagle)

So my game DM changed recently and the player to new DM wants to jump levels ever so slightly and I think I’m doing 4-5? Classes to level 3-5 😂 Started rogue, now hexblade, finishing hexblade at 4-5, maybe finish rogue to 6, but at least 3. Battlemaster 3..‘maybe 6. Sorcerer 5 for spell slots, might throw gloomstalker Ranger 3 in there somewhere. I just love feats and battlemaster has so many options especially to add to poor rolls

No, I believe it goes Incapacitated: can't take actions or reactions Stunned: incapacitated+auto fail strength and dexterity saving throws+can't move Paralyzed: stunned+advantage on attack rolls against you+attacks auto-crit you I don't have my PHB in front of me but after one of my players took psychic lance I had to get decently familiar with the difference and I'm pretty sure incap doesn't do anything except remove your ability to take actions or reactions (which is still crippling, but not quite as bad as paralysis)

Man, I love both Drakken Force and the dusk Warren's, but can we come to a conclusion on Fate of Drakkenheim soon, please? So hard to get my friends interested in Drakkenheim when they gotta start so far back to get caught up. A fresh campaign would be so much easier to recommend and get people into the amazing world that is Drakkenheim. 🙏

I don't think this will end soon. I feel like, instead of wrapping things up, more side quests keep appearing. IIRC, they have at leat these things to cover: - Wilhelm has to travel EVERYWHERE to gain the dukes' approval and they've only talked to 2 (?), - Sebastian has to appear again and they have to deal with that, - They have to travel to "Hell", which I suppose it's the Abyss, to rescue Mouse, - The QoT has to die, one way or the other, - They have to deal with Elyria and their totally-not-invasion plans, - They have to solve whatever Bruce is going to do to destroy the multiverse, - Veo has to rescue her dad, - They have to attune to the Crown and all the Seals, - They'll have to deal with the Lucretia AND the Academy if they plan to get rid of the delerium in Drakkenheim, - If nothing else occurs in between, the last fight has to be against some delerium army/gigantic asteroid/huge dragon/tarrasque thing to end the campaign with an epic finale. Yeah, maybe 2026 (?) lol. And that's assuming I didn't miss a bunch of things

After getting experimented on by the Apothecary, her avatar was able to kill Sebastian while he was accompanied by 2 hard hitting fighter with 2 artifact level weapons. I imagine her true form, might be the final boss, with her minions will require all 6 characters (or 7 including Kyle) to defeat.

I saw some reply randomly: they replied that this was played to the end. Tell your friends to watch from the beginning. It takes less time than you think Esp fate because they cut all the excess. As a previous newb Dm to just player, I miss seeing all the math and rule struggles. Felt more real and good to show new players and DMs real play. But, it makes those episodes even shorter. I’d suggest the first campaign be listened to on the upgraded sources as I struggled just to hear Monty a ton I. The first season on KZbin, but I love seeing who is speaking, what they’re wearing, facial expressions etc. so b my subs video one source, voice other source. Also the history and experience is so much better with context especially the inside-jokes.
