I don't know. I'll say their shoe 👞 game is kinda weak. Especially Iori's and his Saber. They got nothing but toes out all day. I know It's old school Japan so I'm not expecting Jordans, but they gotta wear some socks with those sandals/slides. That whole Saber foot shot was NOT necessary.

IMO the Archer could be Zhou Yu or someone else tied to the Battle of Chibi from the Three Kingdoms era. The ships, flames and (from a previous trailer) chains lead me to believe that.

They are similar, no doubt. The unarmored woman (if it is Rider) looks a lot slimmer without her gear as well. Hard to say its not when they only show him from the chest up.

Seeing this setting, atmosphere, and who's involved I can't help but be reminded of Fate/Type Redline and how brutal that manga is. I can't wait to see how a similar setting but with a protag with a fastly different mindset will change the story and way things are portrayed. I also hope they really dig into the setting showing both the good and bad

Honestly my best guess for Caster is probably Michizane Sugawara from the pattern on his back and appearance. A scholar, poet, and politician from the Heian period who rose to a high ranked four scholar and delegate in the political scene, to the head of his family’s school and literature professor. Before serving as governor of the Sanuki provence and gained favor from Emperor Uda in a time where the imperial family’s was waning to the Fujiwara clan. Rising to great power including as an ambassador to China, Controller of the Left, and Assistant Master to later Emperor Daigo’s household. In 901 the Fujiwara clan and other rivals finally got him disposed to a minor position with all his honor’s stricken and him and his family exiled to another province while banished from Kyōto. Two years later he died and plauges, droughts, and violent rainstorms struck for weeks with the Imperial Hall repeatedly struck by lightning and Daigo’s sons died in succession. Believeing it to be Michizane’s wrathful spirit, a shrine was erected in Kyōto to appease his wrath and it stopped. Later his honors were restored and decades later was detiefied as Tenjin, the Shinto god of learning and a kami of sky and storms. Given Michizane’s story and influence he held for the imperial family that latter has him exiled despite his service and the disasters to immediately follow his death he is probably Caster from his wrathful appearance and what seem to be storm clouds around his wrists. And as he is literally worshipped as a god and started the Waxing Moon Ritual, if I am right he is undoubtedly one of the strongest servants in the war.

6:10 The kamon or family crest on Chiemon's left shoulder appears to be the Itakura (板倉) clan. Of said clan, one relevant member of the clan was Itakura Shigemasa (板倉 重昌), who died while attacking Hara Castle during the Shimabara Rebellion. On a parallel note, Chiemon also has other (at least two more from what I can see) crests. The one just next to the Itakura appears to be the Tokugawa clan, the ones displayed at 19:33.

Tsiah, if this game is successful and type moon decides to make a sequel for this game, i am willing to be the sequel will take place in greek due to how much Greek Servants Type Moon made for the Fate series along with the Chinese and Japanese servants

Okay, rewatching this for like the 8th time. I've noticed that the figure in 16:46 actually has the same pattern as Rogue Saber. Mask matches as well. I could be going crazy. But may we be getting another Emiya is Shirou plot twist revealing that Rogue Saber is actually a future version of Iori? I could be wrong, but that popped out a little too much to me.

When I saw burning ships in front of Archer it instantly brought to mind Battle of Chi-Bi from chinease history. That makes me think he could be someone from kingdom of Wu, tho I really don't know any famous archer from that battle, then again Fate do take some liberties while writting their stories.

A Tamamo tail spawing as a Rouge/Stray Servant during Edo perido? Red Flag right there. Not only would in theory, just like Vlad in Apocrpyha, her natural powers be boosted due various Amaterasu tales but also the time period specifically. "Yokai" To point out Tamamo before the split into the Tamamo 9(tails) was 1 of Japans 3 biggest Yokai threats. Shuten Douji was one of them for example. Tamamo herself was Kyuubi the golden burning fox. (Forgive me i dont remember the full katakana from CCC on PsP) In Olympus Vitch was useing Amaterasus/Kyuubis shadow as a temporary form. Key detail being the various sharp eyes which Kyuubi is known for/depicted a lot in media) Tamamo Aria`s design is all about yellow like the original CG showed us in Tamamo`s ending(ExtraCCC). But who is to say it coulndt turn gold. So a Tamamo tail spawing during Edo perido in Japan as a independent manifestation? Knowing that all Beasts have independent manifestation as a basic skill. I know this could just be a huge nothing burger. But its extremly sus! Plus perfect for them to follow up with the first instance of proper Beast Tamamo due the recent reveal of Beast Nero. Both had a +10 year story arc in the Extra games about them being Beasts of Humanity at the core of their nature/origin.

There is a theory out there that is saying that the main rider of this game is mama raikou, and if not her then a descendant of her. The Takeda clan, so possible Raikou-face maybe?

I don't know who it is, all we got so far its a woman underneath that armor (kinda like Britomart). So we'll just wait and see

The zigzag paper tails Rider has when armored heavily resembles Shinto tools said to call forth divine lightning to assist in the harvest and to decorate shrines, suggesting a religious nature to their electric abilities. On their full art you can also see a red pentagram on their right hand: in Japan this symbol is connected to Abe no Seimei, and Seimei has obvious connection to Raikou as a magical assistant in her source tales of Shuten Douji and Ibaraki Douji, and within Fate Lore as this dominant presence that guided her life alongside her father that Berserker Raikou does not want to talk about.

I’m just hoping sasaki, muramasa, karna since there’s Arjuna, I know this is an obvious one but emiya archer since Gil or cu is there for them to be like why tf do you pop up everywhere we are lol, but if Gil isn’t playable hopefully we can get archer Gil or caster Gil as dlc in the future, okita possibly I know this is way far fetched but hear me out a weird pick but because of the strange fake hype how about Hercules in his true form as an archer cause this would be his first appearance in a game right to further hype it up also proto Arthur cause I would like to see him pop up more or lancer artoria this is just being hopeful when they probably won’t put none of them in this game to introduce new or lesser known servants oh yeah cursed arm would be cool since he definitely could fit in with the edo type assassin theme but most likely nahh

thing is it has so much more going on than the usual musous and it really borders in solid action rpg. You have to manage so many things, there is no territorial fights and you have actual overworld to explore and interact with.
