I wish I had listened to the second story first. The first had me too deep in thought.

us happy prisoners walking about in our own towers with temples aglow in the dark with lights dancing through the windows of the soul ... how awesome to listen in to some voices who would be otherwise be blocked behind those walls ... i so want to share in some duplication way the stuff i've got but ... i can only tell my stories of how i got to this firmament ... i only trust my Creator/s' Judgements on each step I am able to take ... and sitting here so comforted by the awesome stories weaved around me like a warm cocoon, make me happy in my assimilated asylum xxx

My friendly school bully hit me so hard across my ear that i was discombobulated the rest of the day, half shock, (the blow came without warning or cause) half due to a constant ringing. If I remember correctly, a schoolmate had to kind of shake me out of my befuddlement so I could go catch my bus home in time. Now, 34 years later, I still have trouble hearing out of the left ear. (To be fair, I might have been destined for some hearing loss anyway due to many ear infections as a small child. But I do attribute some of the blame to that incident as I noticed the ringing started that day and tendinitis still houses in the same ear)

Hated the guy in the first story, I have met people like him, it is everyone else's fault, never theirs. Thought provoking story and brilliantly read.
