I spent a ton of money, time, and effort taking flying lessons. I decided soon after completing that I would never fly again and never with my family onboard. After a career in Naval aviation and having an uncle who is a retired air traffic controller who now teaches control school in Oklahoma part-time, ive learned there are far too many issues within aviation regarding human error and arrogance. Thats been 5 years ago. Havent flown since and dont intend to

Radio communication sounded like his engine quit as he was taking off. So he had to turn and glide back to the airport to land. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough altitude to complete the turn and crashed.

Looking at the numbers of GA crashes per 1000. There must be something missing from GA pilot flight training in the USA vs here in the UK.
