FATHER BROWN Series 10 Release Set for 2023 Amid Rumors that 100th Episode was The Series Finale

Hey, guys! The ninth series finale of Father Brown, titled The Red Death, marked a VERY important milestone for the beloved daytime series - it was the 100th episode of the series. Who could have thought back in 2013 when Father Brown premiered on BBC One that it will last for so many years to become BBC’s second longest-running daytime television series! Now, there are rumors that the 100th episode was the series finale. The cancellation rumors came from the fact that for the milestone 100 episode producers brought back some beloved characters, like Emer Kenny as Bunty, Alex Price as Sid, Nancy Carroll as Lady Felicia. We also finally had a chance to meet the enigmatic Lord Montague, played by Alexander Hanson. We see how all of this could give an impression of the final curtain, farewell, but it’s not the case. While BBC is yet to make it official, we heard that the creative team is already working on the material for Series 10 of Father Brown, and filming is set to start this summer in the Cotswolds. All of the characters are terrific, but they are even better when they get agitation from Inspector Mallory. He shows me, in a funny way, where my pride can go if left unchecked. Jack Deam does a fantastic job with that character.

I love this show, you would've thought if it was the series finale they would've come up with a better ending for everybodys future than just celebrating the new year at the end, I didn't get the impression that episode 10 was the series finale at all. I was happy to see all the characters back this season, I just adore them all.

Does ANYONE know if Father Brown Season 10 will be aired in the United States? Normally, I would watch it on KCET (PBS) in Los Angeles, but all we have is Sister Boniface, which is a disappointment. Cotswalds.....its a beautiful area in south-central England, along rolling hills that rise from the meadows of the upper Thames to an escarpment above the Severn Valley and Evesham Vale. I am saving to take a once in a lifetime trip for myself to visit england, and I intend to see the cotswolds when I go.

One thing watching British television shows has done is taught me how to pronounce the names of many places correctly. Of course now I get fidgety when someone mispronounces them. I guess that is my prideful self showing through. Especially since I live in the US. Makes me feel all hoity toity 😂

The two new series 10 cast choices are dismal. I've finally had to throw the towel in, less than half way through the beyond-laughable episode 4. I live on the edge of the Cotwolds and even nearly 70 years on, the area does not have the demographic as depicted in this 1950s reimagining. It's almost as bad as the steaming pile of nonsense that was Bridgerton.

The series isn’t the same without Mrs Mcarthy ,Sid,Bunty,and Lady Felicia not to mention Flambeau. The new character is supposed to be zany and original the new maid/ housekeeper is Lind of boring. I miss the old gang. And saying S.Cusack is going with other opportunities sounds like a bunch of lies. Watching this is like someone came into your house snd replaced all your heirlooms with bargain basement goods

It's getting to be more of pushing an agenda and just wrapping it with a story line so people don't realize that's what it is.

When every plot is about someone who is black and every couple is interracial it's getting to the point that it smacks of indoctrination and they're just wrapping some programming around it to hide that fact.

I'm afraid this show ..on the evidence of series 10..has lost aome of its sparkle..new characters lack substance..story lines ..tho always flimsy..lack the whimsy of earlier efforts...and of course...the Diversity/Inclusion box has been ticked to order as per the BBC'S woke agenda
