I believe a security guard would be stupid enough to try to make a blind person prove it. There's a reason he's mall security.

It's shocking, but some people really don't understand disabilities. It's disappointing that the security guard couldn't recognize the seriousness of the situation and the rights of the blind person.

“The dog isn’t real” woah that’s quite a stretch lady. There’s a difference between “the dog is not a guide dog” and “the dog isn’t real”

Poor OP1 but honestly I’m not a big fan of not calling people on people who deserve it. Yeah she was distressed but she got technically got away with bothering a blind person. Since she didn’t get any trouble she probably feels justified in her reasoning and is going to harm another blind or disabled person in the same or similar way. Normalize pressing charges and or calling the cops on people who deserve it cause “being the bigger person” ultimately leaves others for the same harassment you endured

"I don't know, she says she has a blind cousin, she must have some experience with blind people" Yeah, whereas the lady who has lived most, if not all of her life as a blind person, must be some sort of rookie on the matter

Story 1 Incompetent guard: Do you have any proof you are, in fact, blind? If not, how do I know you are blind (despite the fact you keep telling me you are) Same incompetent guard: Entitled mom keeps SAYING she has a blind cousin so she knows what she is talking about. Make it make sense.

Reminds me of that one story of a blind guy in the gym (it's on youtube not from reddit, the guy has a channel i think). Some woman went up to him and told him to stop staring at her. He told her that he is sorry but he is completely blind. She replied ok, but you still can't stare at me, it's making me uncomfortable. She involved someone from the gym staff. The blind guy had to explain again that he is blind. Staff said: I get that, but you still can't stare at her.... I don't remember how the situation ended, but seriously, you can't make this shit up. Not just one but two idiots who seemingly can't even wrap their head around the concept of being blind. Like, after the response from the staff, what do you even say? You are clearly dealing with stupidity beyond comprehension.

I study software and most smartphones have voice-to-chat and talk-back that is a program that says to you what app you are trying to open this is a normal app for every smartphone but talk-back is inactive in default and you have to allow the app to operate hope this helps

This is how we confirm people like EM and SG1 exist. Time to learn a bit about accessibility, my friend!
