That's the whole thing. He ATTEMPTS to make us realize the tragic nature of human life and this current era we are living where we are on the verge of a collapse and the end of the world with climate change based on human greed and self-indulgence, the faceless corporations running the world and violent militant macho leaders who have taken over the global political machinery. Facing these facts is truly crushing and uncomfortable. However, there is nothing 'hilarious' in that. That's why he criticizes entertainment business; the whole entertainment business is designed to numb us and make us stop thinking and challenging the way things are and just laugh the pain away. That is why he is so horrified to be seen as a mere 'jokester' and a 'funny-man'...

Yeah, but why would any artist want to become a tv host? It would be such a shame, really. It's like giving up painting to become a secretary.

The song he does with The Hat for True Detective (1), The Angry Rivet, is one of the most beautiful, sorrowful, lyrically-perfect songs I have ever heard. It seems as if it was a divine gift to these artists. Just a beautiful song. I love Father Misty’s work, not to mention his voice. His voice adds so much depth. It’s great to see him in Europe!!

I love how “rich people in America” is this faceless monster that Lefties like Josh use to characterize a vast amount of individuals. If anyone else paints with a broad brush, they’re called every name in the book. Are we to forget he’s rich? I know he thinks that his wealth and success has nothing to do with his intelligence or hard work but what else is his talent attributed to and am I to receive a portion of his money since he believes that he’s not the creator of his music but somehow his fans are? In a a sense, sure.. I have bought all of his albums, but was I forced? No. He offered something that I valued more than the price that he charged for his product and in turn he got rich and his music has enriched my life. But since the latter example can not be measured in any tangible way, we think of money as the only thing that has wealth. Well, that’s what Marx thought. But the Left is always happy to say the phrase that “money isn’t everything” but are obsessed with stealing people’s life and time and redistributing it to others. I hope to meet him someday so we can have a conversation.

Liberalism as I understand it opposes the exploitation of the life&time of the many for the benefit of the greedy few. It's more about using those benefits to improve the quality of life for the many that generate them. Leftists understand that it's easy to say money isn't everything when you have it. I hear that argument more from the Right. Money generally makes people more conservative, then they lose touch and use their perceived worthiness to justify further inequities...anyone who retains awareness of their own privilege in wealth is exceptional. I won't call you any names. But I'll defend Robin Hood over robbin' the hood any day. ✌

First of all, he didn't say that there's absolutely NO relation to talent and money, he just said it's not directly proportional. Second off, he's right to say that's how rich people in America think (we're talking about millionaires and billionaires here) because they, as a group, lobby to spread that exact message in government and invest to spread that message through think-tanks, literature, popular though, etc. It's the overarching philosophy of the republican party: you deserve everything you have, whether it's a lot or a little. They pay little or no attention to what makes it possible to BE the kind of person who can work hard and build talents. The genetic lottery, the socio-economic stratum you were born into, how many opportunities you were given, etc. Without a functioning country you would hunting for boars in the forest. You don't see a lot of fortune 500 people born in indigenous tribes.

He wishes he was half as talented as Michael Jackson, his music is very much the same every time tho, he tries to be an innovator and provocative, thinking that acting as if he was smart or whatever is enough, no.. he has very little talent.. he's good looking tho. I don't know what he tried to say about Michael Jackson, even tho michael was a pop star and he did music to sell, the man was a genius with an absolute ear and his not so popular music could tear apart anything he or anyone did. He was beyond talented and that's why he was completely nuts. All geniuses go mad. It's the law. And his private life (I do not believe all the shit about him beeing a.. I won't say it) is amazing, was Michael Jackson mad? Yes, Michael Jackson's life is beyond interesting, all of his traumas are interesting, this guy is just a good looking guy who sings pretty well. Enough said. But I do like him, haha lol!

@alxx_AI
@alxx_AI 6 жыл бұрын
Ben ... this guy has no idea of Michael Jackson... he just heard the radio hits which in fact are comparable to Christian music.. bc Michael was smart of course to know those would sell.. but Michael Jackson had much more music that was NOT commercial.. Michael Jackson, ok Michael's mind was full of paranoia bc in fact the guy was EXTREMELY smart to the point of driving him mad ( he was escaping it, escaping life, he would numb himself thru drugs, mostly legal which are WORST, a chronic insomniac.. full of complexes, he lived as much as he could) I respect him.. as most geniuses since Beethoven, Michael Jackson's mind was fucked up.. living escaping a fantasy world pretending and believing people would actually understand him... (in his mind he thought ppl would understand that he was a child in his mind.. he would avoid true life... that's how fucked up he was, and I love him, but it's part of beeing an actual genius..) he was completely out of control... he was he would just drink and not sleep.. thinking that was ok.. take pills etc.. well, he lived pretty much.. to take anesthesia just to sleep (bc of those concerts that he didnt want to make) .. and he thought he would not die?.. he was insane, with this im saying that this guy fjm acts as if he is a paranoid.. well as far as I know he lives a pretty normal life, married etc.. so he shouldn't belittle a real genius just because he has no idea.. Michael Jackson was not a simple guy... AT ALL.. that's why he's dead.. and that's all I am trying to say.. and Michael Jackson did not wanted to die.. in fact he thought he would never die.. so.. no.. not letting this guy say that Michael Jackson was a simple guy making stupid Christian music..

"It sounded like Michael Jackson" he tries to belittle Michael Jackson, he thinks Michael was like taylor swift? I guess he never actually heard Michael Jackson. Christian music sounds like the Beatles, the Beatles are overrated, and now I know why his music is not music. It's just some guy pretending to be a musician. go home, be a model, that's the only way you might stand out.

@@ethanghoura5551 are you comparing Michael's musical abilities and ear to a poser like FJM??? Ok, I get it. You have no musical ear at all. I will however recommend you to actually go and listen to MJ's catalogue including unreleased material, the guy didn't even need to play an instrument, but he actually did, however, he was like Mozart, Beethoven, just a musical genius.
