I cracked a smile at the chord progression. Love you Josh
@r.pneumo73377 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that was hilarious. Btw, do you know which chords he played?
@MrDevin11257 жыл бұрын
The one with his pointer finger extended across the neck of the guitar is G major, the one with his fingers scrunched up are the other end is D major, and the one were his pointer and middle finger are on two strings that are next to each other is E minor. These are chords that are very easy to play for a beginner and are incredibly common in a lot of songs, especially in songs that tend to be associated with douchey college bros who always bring an acoustic guitar to the house party. I assume those two things are why he hates them so much. I still like those chords though. ---Signed, a guitar player of five years

You can see why some people dismiss FJM as a pretentious, ironic hipster, as he can come across that way. But, like here, when he loosens up he can be quite funny charming, and genuine about his influences and his music.
@jasonpeters98654 жыл бұрын
Lol, dude...This interview just backed all those claims up....He's a pretentious hipster. If he was just honest? It wouldn't be that way. No, he's seen too many Vincent Gallo and Kurt Cobain interviews
@jasonsteakums60674 жыл бұрын
Opposite of genuine. It seems like he’s always playing a character. Everything about him looks and feels premeditated. And the constant need to try and say something profound and wrapping it in layers of cynicism while looking into the distance is a turnoff. The worst part is that people are buying into this human fedora

I just love that he wishes he'd written Bird on the Wire. I love that he comes from that place lyrically. For me, that would be Famous Blue Raincoat... Any Leonard Cohen song, really. What a legend. What a sad passing.

Paul Le Gloan also a beautiful one. For me something about sing another song boys really gets me. That's the song I thought of the moment I found out he died late that night. They'll never reach the moon, at least not the one we're after.

Pretentious hipsters always give "off the wall, scattered, obscure" answers...When they damn welll know it was Nirvana and 80s/90s indie, alternative music they really love and listen to all time. Like REM, Depeche Mode to The Relacements, Pixies to The Cure, Husker Du to Pearl Jam, Nirvana to Soundgarden, Alice in Chains.
