I can relate. My parents divorced when I was a baby and my dad was never there for me. When he found me on Facebook, he asked what I'd done with my life. After answering him, he actually said. "I must have the wrong person because I don't care." Feeling spooked, I lied and said I had to go. Never spoke with him again. My mom and her parents gave me what I needed during my childhood anyway so all definitely was not lost!

But where the hell was he when his son….who was still a minor and child at the time had to get 2 after school jobs to help his mother? Where was the “dad” when the teenage son was grieving alone over the loss of his mother? And where was the dad when he got evicted and lived on the streets? He stayed around when it was confident for him then left when things got hard. Even after he came crawling back, it was for the wrong reasons. He wanted money to save his on butt from being homeless, NOT b/c he sincerely felt bad about what he did.

@amylee8969 Жыл бұрын
@quintondent5647 I agree. Nobody ever wants to say that to a parent or someone they’re suppose to love. Everyone wants to believe that those we trust are sincere. But I’m glad he told his father off and put him in his place. He needed to know exactly how badly the son and mother suffered because of it. Especially since all the dad wanted was money to save his butt from being evicted. He didn’t come to sincerely make peace, he had no real remorse.
@quintondent5647 Жыл бұрын
@amylee8969 Yeah, definitely. I agree with you. This reminds me of the Fresh Prince episode where Will meets his biological father Lou. He abandoned his wife and son when he was 5 years old. So he came back to Will's life about 14 years ago and he wasn't ready to be a father so his Uncle Phil confronts Lou about the responsibility of his son Will but he refused to listen and he kept making excuses and Uncle Phil wasn't falling for it and Lou leaves for the last time. So Will disowns his father and Uncle Phil became a much better father figure than Lou ever was and Will gladly accepts him.

I love 💕 the son 👨🏻 cares so much for his mom 👩🏻 and doesn’t care about his “dad” that wasn’t even there for him when the son needed him the most also how can he just leave his dying wife and his son to figure it out on their own and doesn’t even care about them only about himself

So the father comes in and begs for money but then he tries to flip the script and act like his son owes him raising him a couple years then bailing, the audacity of this guy?

Yeah, she did. Remember Charles explaining what happened after the dead beat dad bailed!? He took ALL the money, so the mom had to give up her treatments to feed Charles/herself. That combined w/ the stress for everything put her in the hospital where she ended up dying & Charles ended up on the street due to all the medical debt 😖

I hate it when dads abandon they're families

The way the son said "If you leave now, don't you ever try to come crawling back to us" was so heartbreaking. That was his way of saying "If I ever see you again, I'm never letting you back into my life and you'll be dead to me as my father"! Also I wonder if his mom would've survived if the father hadn't walked out on them and she hadn't had to give up her treatments! Because the son described that when she stopped her treatment she was in the hospital weeks at a time and their debt just grew and grew! Like he was the one responsible for his own wife's death.

My grandfather i.e. my mom's maternal uncle looked after his wife i.e. my mom's aunt during her sickness due to old age. Although my mom's aunt passed away sadly, my grandpa had seriously fulfilled his duties of a husband and never gave up!!!!!! Shame how some people leave like this. They're a disgrace to the society and have no honour.

Marcus deserved life in prison for what happened because he left. He basically killed his wife by taking all of the money and made his son homeless. Charles was completely right when he said that he doesn't have a father. A father would've never left his family to suffer the way that he did.

This "fAther" did the last thing any good father should by leaving. I'm a father myself & I'll do everything to make sure they never miss of anything no matter what,to always keep them safe & happy nonethless. May God bless & protect all children & moms going trough heartless father's like him. Godbless & Godspeed 😊❤

Wow I couldn’t imagine losing a mother who’s been through this with the child and I can’t believe how the dad left him when the mom just passed away. Like RIP the mother and the dad like why he don’t support them and why did the son had to live on the streets in order to be a good person??!?! And why did he work 3 jobs?!!! Like he doesn’t care about anybody else just himself and his son?!!!! And wow I felt so bad for him and I hope he’s doing well in his life now!

The guy that plays the son towards the end he definitely needs to go beyond Dhar Mann’s plays.. he’s a great actor the way he makes his face expressions it feel so real of what he feels. First time I saw it I cried. Then it became happy tears when he gave his dad his own medicine 🤣
