This reminds me of my mom. She struggled with leukemia for over 6 years and not once did my older siblings come by to see how she's doing or even see if she needed help. I dropped out of college to properly take care of her till she died in 2019. I wasn't even her daughter, I was her granddaughter biologically. But she always told me that she loved and raised me no different than her own children. And yet not one of them even offered her any emotional support when she needed it the most. I only started seeing them come around after she died.

11:05 well... how does she know? well, simple: lets start with the what if: what if... charles and emily were not actually cathy's real son and daughter, but were actually cathy other adopted children the whole time? to answer that question, lets write an extended ending. after both charles and emily returned home, both of them were still angry. "i cant believe her! rosa's not even her real daughter, and yet we should be the one who gets the money in the first place!" charles said in rage. "you know, i think its time that we do something. something to make sure that she will never come back again!" as charles was saying, she sees that emily was in silence. "emily, are you even listening to me?" charles said. "charles... i cant help but think though... but... maybe rosa was right all along." emily replied. "what do you mean?! she took away all our cash money!" charles said "she said that mom loved us both so much besides rosa... maybe there might be a hidden meaning behind this." emily replied. charles was in silence. "you know, i actually found this letter that i assume that mom left before her death... and something tells me that she might be trying to tell us to read it." emily said. "come on, charles, dont you wanna learn the truth? or... you're just scared that you might have offended her after what you did today." "what am i scared of...." charles said, as he snatches and opens the letter. in the letter, there was a note. as both kids clench the note, they started to read what was written on it. "dear charles and emily..." both kids read. "as i'm nearing my inevitable fate, i dont know how i'm even gonna tell you what you're about to read in this letter, so... i've decided to write this while i still have the strength to do so. and trust me, i'll make sure that it'll be worth listening. you see..." as we learn in the letter, turns out that due to a medical condition that cathy had, it resulted in her dreams of becoming a mother has been shattered into pieces, as the condition resulted in her unable to have her first child. but, the doctor, who told her about the medical condition in the first place, told her that theres an alternative: adoption. soon after, she adopted both children, and raised them well. and those 2 children that she adopted, was charles and emily the whole time. "so you see, i never wanted to tell you in the first place is because... i feared that it could break your hearts. but knowing my time is almost up, i decided to tell you now. but regardless, i want you to know that family doesnt require blood, but it requires love. and no matter what happens, my love for you two and rosa are always the same." as both kids read. both kids were in shock. "rosa was... actually right along." charles said. "god... cant believe that we were so caught up in our own stuff that... we didnt know that we were just like rosa the whole time." emily added. "so... what do we do now?" charles asked emily. cut to rosa, who walked to the front door after hearing a knock. she opens the door. she sees emily and charles. "just say what you want to say, then leave. i am officially done with you two using my mother as an ATM Machin-" rosa starts to say, but charles interupted her. "thats not what i'm here for, rosa." charles said. "we've read mother's letter... and... if it wasnt for her letter... we would have not know that... we were just like you the whole time." as he showed rosa the letter. "you were right all along..." emily jumped in. "family doesnt require blood, but it requires love. sorry if we said that cathy wasnt your real mother. will you forgive us?" rosa was in a trance of hard decisions. after a while, she said... "i forgive you both." "thank you, rosa. thanks for helping us see it now." charles said, as the video ends with the three kids hugging together.

How can they even forget their own mom's birtday? Even her adopted child remembers and they don't. It is so heartbreaking.
