If the car that hit them was not paying attention / speeding then they should be prosecuted, If this was a situation where absolutely no one would avoid crashing, they are not at fault. With the damage at time 106, the car that hit it was nearly stopped so take that into account.

I feel for his family. I wish the best for them going forward. That said, *NONE* of this would’ve happened if he’d called a tow truck. Yes, two companies are $cumm¥, but he’d still have his leg right now. I’m an in home support staff member. One of my clients injured himself doing something similar and there isn’t a day he doesn’t regret just leaving his cr@pp¥ car on the side of the road and then dealing with it later.
