I found Fr Mark Beard’s online Sunday homilies, by chance and faithfully looked forward to listening in each Sunday. Oh how I will miss him. He helped me grow in my Catholic faith, return to the sacrament of confession, experience Adoration weekly and see the truth in Catholic doctrine. "All I care about is your soul." Words most of us never ever hear from priests or bishops in our churches and dioceses. And they do not talk of sin, serious sin, receiving the Eucharist unworthily, and they think we are all saints because they offer Confession for a mere 45 minutes to an hour once a week. Fr Beard didn't mince words, and was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. His legacy will live on.

He said a very good statement in November about when he dies, he does not want to hear anyone say, he's in a better place. He said he will haunt you every night, because he was saying, too many think people are in a better place, when no, they are in Purgatory and are forgotten. That not only is true, but he meant it. It was a great homily about Purgatory and he just finished with that, which I thought people may want to remember at this time. Pray for his soul, because he will for you!

Let me tell you something. When he said that he always said "when I die you better start praying then and there if not I'm going to haunt you and sing 99 bottles of bear on the wall." Well someone who was close with Father Mark said that in his way to mass after Father Marks passing he heard 99 bottles of beer on the wall on the radio. Have you ever heard that song on the radio, it's a sign❤️

Got into YT this morning and a video was there with a headline saying Fr. Mark had passed. I couldn’t believe it and started crying. It looks like he may have had a heart attack or such as it was reported as a one-vehicle crash. His homilies came into my feed a few months back and I listened each Sunday to them. My mom passed last June and since then I have been very lost. I have delved deeper into my Catholic faith and Father Mark was one of the priests I listened to. His words in particular not only brought comfort, but a call to action. Time and again he would preach to “get in the game.” That you’re either walking towards Christ or away from him. I always felt inspired by his words. We don’t like to think about our own passing, but when death hits home you can’t help but focus on it. Father Mark’s words have touched me deeply and I’ll miss his guidance. I pray the rosary daily and always include intentions that God protect him and all the priests who have the courage to stand up and speak truth in these current times we’re in. I’ll continue to pray for him and that he indeed met Christ who said welcome my good and faithful servant. Prayers to his family and friends as well.

He's become my Coach. I have been listening to his homilies on repeat these past 3 plus weeks. I've been drawn to Adoration anew, and wanting to follow my faith more intensely. I pray for Fr. I find it so amazing that on this his last homily he preached his heart out on all the hot buttons of our doctrine that is being questioned. He even reminds us how we need to hold the only truth giving to us by Jesus Christ as written in the Holy Scriptures. I hear a Sense of urgency in His words to no matter what happens with administration or management of the church we hold the truth and nothing but the truth and get off the fence and stand for our Catholic faith and the doctrine of our faith as it was transmitted to us by the fathers of the church . One of the most influential men I’ve ever known. His sermons seemed to always hit home with me. When I get off the path sometimes they always seem to gut punch me and send me back on the straight path. It’s a work to be a better husband , father, and friend. Many of us never heard of father mark beard before but now that we are aware of his tragic death we start to listen to his homily’s and can truly see that he fulfilled his mission on earth and on that last homily he gave everything to God.
