Wow really?! I assumed it was his father, especially when he says "the wife I saw you beat". This is in my top favorite 90's songs. My mom abandoned our family when I was little (drug addiction) so ever time I hear it, I think of my mom and Instead of "the wife I saw you beat", I always think "the drugs I saw you eat". I'll have to look up the Howard Stern clip. Sounds interesting!

First off... Art has ms and notice the band all has those headsets on? Well things can sound different when you sing with them on. Go watch Vince Neils performances with Motley Crue where it sounds like hes singing a completely different song then the rest of the band because of the delay in the headset.

Yes it definitely doesn't sound good. I've listened to some of their early performances of when they were big in the 90's and they're just not a good sounding live band. They're still in my top favorite 90's bands and to be fair, every band had good and bad performances. I've only been to a few concerts where they sounded just as good as the studio recordings and that was Steve Miller, Beck, twenty one pilots, and pink Floyd

I had no idea AT ALL that they were that old when this song came out--I just found out now. Aging is bullshit, man. It is actually a terminal illness, a genetic disease. Within our lifetime, they will probably be able to extend the good years by at least 20-30 years, though probably only really rich people will have access to it, because of course. There is a non-negligible chance that they'll be able to dramatically slow or prevent it altogether in our lifetime, and possibly even cure it. A huge breakthrough in understanding it just happened recently, in fact. If the US put just some of the money it put into the war machine and drug law enforcement and @$$ knows what else, there'd probably be a cure within 20 years, not to mention effective treatments for all sorts of genetic diseases. But the last thing our overlords want is 350,000,000 happy, healthy people.
